He wrote most of it on a borrowed laptop while still in the hospital. I spent time reading thru 10K+ word document and investigated every key section, timeline, verbatim quotes, and counters: >Zeal explains the timeline: >On April 8th when Ren dropped the 145+ page assault document >he immediately signed off and started writing his defense >because he says the claims were false. >But within 24 hours, “many of my friends, co-workers, and those I looked up to the most, left, blocked, harassed and distanced themselves from me.” >That “mass abandonment” before he could even respond caused him to spiral and attempt suicide that same night. >He was hospitalized, and he’s still there. >He thanks the people who reached out to his mom and waited for his side instead of instant cancellation: “Writing this document has been a painful, grueling and deeply humiliating experience… I need to share a lot of incredibly personal details about myself that I would rather have stayed private. It's another tough he-said/she-said situation.... Legally and ethically, consent has to be freely given in the moment. Consent can be withdraw at any point.
