Does this normalize for COVID lockdowns on the tail? Yes, the trend is real,however, the collapse at the tail is not. You'd see some erosion in the forms outside online but it would plateau and certainly wouldn't be close to 0%. If you look right before COVID I would be ~60% from non-online.

@Ivan_4D Not always. Here is an example- a business I know had a new leader come in and focus on dashboards and world class process. Didn’t focus on pivoting the business to what the market wanted, now rent is coming due. Great processes, bad leadership.

Outcomes are what count; don’t let good process excuse bad results.

Hiring a huge team before product market fit is the equivalent of smothering a tiny flame with a ton of wood. You move slower, shorten your runway, dilute your average talent bar, and generally have to spend time on things that aren't finding product market fit.

Looking at the @sxsw schedule, ouch. As someone who was there when Twitter was shown to the world and Jay-Z performed, what the hell happened? The programming is horrible. No wonder it is no longer a must-attend conference.

100%. My biggest opportunities have been a result of luck, met with pattern recognition, preparation, and ability. The belief that leaders possess some sort of mystical power is a falsehood that perpetuates imposter syndrome and is a myth.

Seeing so many intelligent, talented people I worked with being laid off is heartbreaking. Don't underestimate your worth. Don't let this sudden change define you. Reach out. Many of us are here and always willing to help.

Physical proximity affects decision-making. Move closer to places and people aligned with your goals. Your environment shapes your experience and your decisions more than you think.

Availability ≠ capability. Just because someone is close by, doesn't mean they are the best fit. Think beyond physical proximity. The world is connected like never before, expand your horizons.

Physical proximity no longer equals inclusion or validation. In a digital world, remember to place value on genuine connection over logistics.

Remember, feeling 'left out' often originates from physical proximity bias. The way we perceive our world is not always the real reflection of it. Know yourself, love yourself, and seek validation from within.

Even the choices that felt right in the present can prove to be missteps in the future. The art of growth involves constantly reassessing and learning from past decisions.
