On a more serious note, the Commander is really missing. UAVs, vehicle drops, supply drops, artillery strikes and the whole chain of command/squad play... It makes the Battlefield experience so much richer and more varied. So much untapped potential to improve it even further.

What it needs is the ability to team switch without having to build the logic behind it. What it needs is the ability to make custom maps without having to make the mode itself on top of that, along with the scoreboard and every other spawn functionality. They have all the tools. They made it difficult for people on purpose.

Sadly BF Portal is a completely unfinished feature which honestly should have been held back for a proper launch down the line. Needs verified experiences which have full XP gain, 60hz servers, more visibility from the menu and more documentation 🫠

Battlefield 6 really dropped the ball w/ Portal. So many cool experiences made by players but you can't find them. None of them are being surfaced by the devs either - the UI is frankly awful for discovery. And there's STILL XP farms sitting in the server browser... come on 🙃 The only highlighted modes in the main menu are all made by Battlefield - I thought the point of Portal was to elevate community-made content? At this point, Portal is in a worse state than it was in 2042 because it's more powerful than ever, but also more opaque than ever. HUGE work needs to be done to reorganise the entire structure of it for discovery, ease of access and elevation of popular experiences for regular players to try. I, an experienced Battlefield 6 player who plays the game every single day, cannot figure out how to navigate the Portal menus... and Portal, the name of the entire feature, isn't even used in the menu! It's called "Community" instead... actually baffling how bad this all is.

@BattleNonSense What you mean is you want the same game but you want prone right? Because you can't have bad Company and prone. That's what made the game different. It slowed the game down. Changed the way snipers worked. Changed people camping in corners.

What I'd like to see is a bundle. Remastered/Updated BC1 & 2 Singleplayer with a new BC3 Singleplayer that concludes the storyline and brings a fresh, silly and over the top multiplayer.

I think the nostalgia aspect of it is boosting the reputation of BC2 to way too high level for you guys, specially in NA. BC wasn't all that, and i love BC. Fun campaign yes, but the BC2 multiplayer was kind of like a demo version so to speak. (This also goes for BC1 too obviously)

@Lati25Mi And it's a terrible map. It always was. We played Metro to grind attachments, not because it was a good map People just want it as a legit XP grinding map, which is exactly what it was in the first place. Same for locker.

It's not totally useless. It just needs voice to go with it. Step 1 You q spot an area, that makes a little 2 marker on the minimap and big map Step 2 (What you aren't doing) (What you saw) at (Your ping marker number) Full series of events 1. You q spot an area, or bad guy 2. You Tell us what you saw/noticed 3. We react based off that information This is exactly how we play at 21CW.

Pro tip: When you die in BF6 in a PREVENTABLE or a winnable situation ask yourself why. Did you have bad movement? Did you overshoot your gun? Bad flick/acquisition Bad tracking Poor awareness. Yes, the game has rough audio and sometimes questionable audio but way to many people putting blame on those two way too often. Want to get better at the game? Take accountability and openly talk about the goof up. Know what to work on.

@Tremorx801 Lol yeah he's a good sniper. You know it also takes him forever to get into position, all the clips are purpose built, and that's all he does. Maybe your gamer gramps you had there was just learning. If I can move a mouse or use a controller still at 70, I'm doing it right.

They are relying on an outside website because their own game doesn't have the matchmaking or lobby capabilities to support comp This could have been done in Battlefield 1,5 or 2042 based off of conquest, TDM, Rush breakthrough or any other mode. It could still be done right now on all of those modes with only team switch. These truths exist whether you like them or not.

I think you’re grossly over simplifying the impact this tourney will have. Yes, there’s work to be done for other community-run projects and other tournament formats as you’ve laid out. But money brings the “serious” competition, and the eyes to the game more broadly. Whether you like it or not, that’s the fact, and the fact that this is a long-term commitment to the format suggests that this is not a “one and done” thing for streamers either. This is just the beginning. And a cash prize injection is going to be what gets people keen on raising to the top so that they can have a slice of that pie.

In 2021, we got a Battlefield game that was: • Completely broken at launch, in some ways, beyond repair. • Was one of the weakest content offerings in the history of the franchise, and • Held no capacity for competitive play. And now, in 2025, we have a Battlefield game that: • Holds a strong foundation that the devs can focus on improving off, rather than rebuilding. • Holds a relatively strong content offering for the most part. • Is receiving a $1.3mil injection to kickstart true competitive leagues and rosters. The comeback from the utter shambles that was BFV and BF2042 is insane, and something I really didn’t expect to see at such a scale. It feels good seeing the franchise make this kind of turnaround, especially as someone who got into PC gaming for this franchise. And to those who stick their nose up at the concept of a competitive scene for Battlefield; I promise you, the game will be better for it. It’s not going to take away from the simple, casual, conquest gameplay that many of you love too. This is another angle of Battlefield that is going to add more depth to the community, and continue to propel it into a more “mainstream” audience.
