Well we lost our season opener.... we had it and then let it go with some fielding miscues...I also gave up my first HR in a couple years!! But we redeemed ourselves yesterday against Rootstown until it got rained out we were winning 5-0!!! My pitching was doing okay.....in 7 innings I have 15 strikeouts, 0 walks, 2 earned runs and 6 hits! Held our own today against a very tough Boardman team!! Unfortunately we lost 1-0! It was a close game!! Pitching was okay... Wrapped up our basketball season Thursday with a beautiful winter sports banquet! My team had a great season with a 17-7 record and district runner ups! I received NAC honorable mention and Comeback player Award! Can’t wait for softball season to start!!

Today's scrimmage did not disappoint!! We beat a tough Mineral Ridge softball team 5-2! I hit a 2-run shot over centerfield fence and pitched a 2 hitter, 0 walks and 9 strikeouts in 4 innings pitched... even though it was cold, I had a blast with my teammates!!! Exactly 1 week away from our first official game!! We got some great weather today to scrimmage a talented MapleWood team! Not the outcome we wanted but I pitched 4 innings with 6 strikeouts. I got to play against one of the best pitchers @21MarkerAddie and friend @ClaireUrchek

Making hard choices is what makes us better softball players. Last night I had a hard one to make. Do I go to the basketball game and support in person or do I go to my pitching lesson? I decided to be the pitcher my team needs me to be this year I had to go to my pitching lesson and watch them from home...honestly I'm glad I did b/c I am feeling like I'm getting better with each pitch!! Worked on my spins and getting my leg thru on my screw. Also congrats to Maplewood girls bball for winning their regional semi-final!!
