Everyone is upset about G League players flooding college basketball... & you should be. Pros flooding CBB is threatening the essence of what college ball is.
Why/how is it happening?
When rev share got approved, schools could directly pay players. So with that, NCAA decided that non NBA pros around the world should also be eligible to play too. International recruits all take the path & theoretically, G League developmental players are the same.
The issue:
21-22+ year old pro players are abusing CBB as a plan B or C to get paid more/go to the NBA after their original PRO path didn't work.
At this rate, they might let undrafted former college players with eligibility come back to school that didn't get NBA minutes - that would be HUGE issue.
THE SOLUTION:
Once you enroll in any NBA league - NBA, G League, etc. and commit to that, you cannot play college. Simple.
International pros are somewhat different bc basketball development is different around the world. So let intl "pros" 19 years old or less on the start of the CBB season come to play - same age as many HS graduate recruits.
We need to limit the accessibility in college basketball to save its value. NIL is good for players to earn $ that schools have been hoarding for years but NIL's true original essence is slipping away & ruining the sport's integrity.

@dekker I don’t get why their fans are offended by this. Being “Goliath” means they’re one of the biggest and most recognizable brands in professional sports worldwide. They’re a historic franchise, known for postseason success. Shame on us for saying so?

Yeah! Besides the $350,000,000 payroll vs $120,000,000 payroll, it’s basically the same organizations!

Very excited for the David v Goliath narratives incoming when David won 4 more games than Goliath and has home field advantage *and* also David swept all 6 games against Goliath
