Astounding. A German Government spokesman refuses to acknowledge that the Soviet Union liberated Berlin. The journalist asks him to name the liberators. He stares back in silence.

Putin just dismantled the NATO fairy tale on Finland with ice cold precision. “What did Finland join NATO for? Did we have any territorial disputes with Finland? No! Everything had long been settled.” He didn’t stop there. “Why did they join NATO then? In the hope that everything here would collapse, and they’d swoop in and grab what they could. They’re already building a border along the Sestra River.” Then, with that signature dry St. Petersburg sarcasm: “I would make certain gestures and say a few things, but since I come from the cultural capital, I’ll refrain.” No bluster, just the facts. Here’s the question the entire Western client media refuses to ask out loud: Did turning Finland into NATO’s shiny new forward operating base right on Russia’s longest European border, make the Finns more secure… or dramatically less secure? Now that the've morphed into an existential threat by hosting NATO on Russia's border. For decades Finland lived in calm, stable neutrality with a settled 830 mile border and zero territorial friction. Then it rushed into NATO, doubled the alliance’s frontier with Russia, and suddenly Helsinki is building fences and hosting NATO troops. This of course was never about “defending” Finland. It was about turning a peaceful neighbor into a frontline provocation. Natural consequences don’t hand out one sided security guarantees. They hand out front row seats to the very confrontation you claimed you were avoiding. Finland of course didn’t buy peace and there was never the point beyond the ridiculous sales pitch. What it did buy is a frontline ticket and Russia just reminded everyone who actually controls the neighborhood.

Russia just dropped the hammer: Get your diplomats out of Kiev — NOW. The Foreign Ministry’s message is ice-cold and unmistakable. Moscow will strike decision-making centers in the Ukrainian capital if Zelensky’s regime dares to disrupt the May 9 Victory Day parade. No ambiguity. Maria Zakharova spelled it out from the podium, voice steady, eyes locked: the collective West can try to sweep Zelensky’s aggressive threats under the rug, destroy Soviet memorials, exhume soldiers’ remains and rewrite history all they want. But they are accomplices in the criminal plans of the Kiev regime. This time, she warned, self-preservation had better not fail them. Thr statement from Russia’s Defense Ministry and every step that follows must be taken with deadly seriousness. To paraphrase Dmitry Medvedev: Russia may well need to put animalistic fear into the Western European masters of puppet Zelensky. The message is simple. Kiev’s provocations on the one day Russia remembers its greatest sacrifice will not be tolerated. Kiev's European masters have been warned.

It is quite remarkable to witness how rapidly Finland’s capture by NATO has transformed its foreign policy — while at the same time curtailing options for the EU as a whole. The system is working precisely as intended. It is subordinating European policy to the interests, first, of Washington, and, second, of a European oligarchy long hell-bent on dismantling the last remnants of its social democratic compact. Decades from now, we will learn that the entire process — including the sudden rise of a new cohort of second-rate leaders whose only calling cards were their rabid support for NATO — was carefully engineered by the Pentagon working in cahoots with the Finnish military-industrial complex.

Wow, this is huge, after months of speculation and the U.S. running a massive pre-emptive discreditation campaign (x.com/RnaudBertrand/…), DeepSeek-V4 is finally out! I haven't studied it in depth but here are the most striking aspects as far as I can tell: - Fully open sourced with open weights (available for download on huggingface: huggingface.co/deepseek-ai) - Zero CUDA dependency anywhere in its stack, which is probably the biggest deal of all. For those who don't know, CUDA is Nvidia's software layer - the foundation nearly every frontier AI model in the world is built on. Except, as of today, DeepSeek V4, which can run entirely on Huawei Ascend chips via Huawei's CANN framework (finance.yahoo.com/sectors/techno…). Very concretely it means that China now not only has its own frontier AI models, but its own domestic AI stack, top to bottom. - The prices are insanely low. V4-Pro is roughly 3x cheaper than GPT-5.5 on input and 8.6x cheaper on output. And V4-Flash is an order of magnitude cheaper still, at $0.14/$0.28 per million tokens vs OpenAI's $5/$30 - so 30-100x cheaper than GPT-5.5 (!). And remember, these are the prices DeepSeek charges on its own API - anyone can download the weights and run them for "free" on their own server. - It is at or near the frontier on most benchmarks that matter. V4-Pro-Max matches or beats GPT-5.4 and Claude Opus 4.6 on competitive programming (Codeforces rating 3206), coding (LiveCodeBench 93.5), and math (HMMT 95.2, IMO AnswerBench 89.8). It trails the very newest GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.7 on a handful of the hardest agentic and knowledge benchmarks, but it's in the same league. In effect the value proposition is: "Same league as frontier US AI, at a fraction of the price, open-source and freely modifiable, and hardware-agnostic - you can run it on whatever infrastructure you choose." Which is insanely good. I now understand the need for a preemptive discreditation campaign: they had every reason to be worried. For the vast majority of use cases, you'd have to be a literal idiot to keep paying OpenAI or Anthropic's prices when this exists.

France is on the eve of voting one of the most shameful laws in its history: it would effectively outlaw criticism of Israel and criminalize any speech seen as even remotely sympathetic to whoever the French government chooses to designate a "terrorist group." In effect this law would turn France's foreign policy into unchallengeable dogma backed by prison time. You could literally be sent for 5 years in prison if you, for instance, call what France says are "terrorists" a "resistance group." Think for instance Nelson Mandela during the apartheid (the ANC was on every Western terrorist list) or, heck, France's own Résistance against Nazi Germany - designated as "terrorists" by the Vichy regime and the Nazi occupation. It's frankly absolutely insane. The new law is called "loi Yadan" after its author Caroline Yadan, a MP who represents French expatriates living in Israel. The U.S. has congressmen paid by AIPAC: France has cut out the middleman entirely, we have MPs whose constituency is literally in Israel. The law has already passed committee and heads to a full parliamentary vote on April 16th - 3 days from now - under a very unusual fast-track procedure. Seven of eleven parliamentary groups have said they'll vote yes and the law is expected to pass. What does the law say? Let me quote from it directly (full text here: assemblee-nationale.fr/dyn/17/textes/…): 1) Article 1 introduces the concept of "implicit" provocation to terrorism and punishes it with five years imprisonment and a fine of €75,000 That's the one I was speaking about. Under this provision, describing anyone France designates as terrorist as a "resistance movement" - the way France describes its own Résistance against Nazi occupation - could effectively become a crime. The key concept is what does "implicit provocation to terrorism" mean? Nobody knows. And that's the point. It means whatever a prosecutor wants it to mean: a perfectly good case could be made that, for instance, quoting international law on the right of occupied peoples to resist with respect to Hamas is, in fact, "implicit provocation to terrorism." France's most famous anti-terrorism judge, Marc Trévidic, says he has never seen anything like it in his entire career (x.com/CharliesIngall…): "Implicit provocation to terrorism: do you realize what that means? Becoming a censor of other people's thoughts, trying to guess what a person really meant." 2) The same article also expands the terrorism apology offense to include "minimizing or trivializing acts of terrorism in an outrageous manner." This is even crazier: until now, "apology of terrorism" meant actually expressing a favorable judgment of "terrorist acts" (which is already insane because, as we all know, one person's terrorist is another's freedom fighter). Well, under this new provision, a judge could decide that providing context, explaining root causes, or insufficiently condemning an act amounts to "trivializing" terrorism - and that would now be punishable with 5 years in prison. So, for instance, a history teacher explaining the origins of Hamas or Hezbollah is providing context - but a prosecutor could argue that contextualization is trivialization. The same reasoning could apply to a journalist, a researcher, or anyone on social media who says "yes, it was terrible, but here's why it happened." The "but" becomes a crime, as it is trivialization. 3) Article 4 expands Holocaust denial law Under current French law, denying the Holocaust is already a crime. This provision extends that crime by specifying that contestation of crimes against humanity now includes, "whatever its formulation, a negation, minimization, or outrageous trivialization" of those crimes. Again with "outrageous trivialization"! In this instance the very authors of the text - Caroline Yadan and her colleagues - explain their reasoning explicitly in the law's preamble (assemblee-nationale.fr/dyn/17/textes/…): "Comparing the State of Israel to the Nazi regime would thereby be punishable as an outrageous trivialization of the Shoah." So while the provision is written in general terms, its architects are openly saying what it's for: making it a crime to draw any parallel between Israel's actions and those of the Nazis. 4) Article 2 creates a brand new crime: calling for the destruction of a state. The law adds to an existing 1881 press law a provision punishing anyone who "publicly, in disregard of the right of peoples to self-determination and the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, calls for the destruction of a state recognized by the French Republic." Five years imprisonment, €75,000 fine. The qualifiers about self-determination and the UN Charter are meant to sound reassuring. But what does "destruction" mean? In practice, if you advocate for a one-state solution where Israelis and Palestinians live as equals, you are de-facto calling for the "destruction" of the state of Israel. Well, that would now be punishable by 5 years in prison 🤷 There you go. Absolutely insane: if this new law passes, and it unfortunately very much looks like it will, France - the country that gave the world the Declaration of the Rights of Man, the country whose national identity is built on the Résistance - will have made it illegal to use the word 'resistance' about anyone the government doesn't like. Jean Moulin would be prosecuted. De Gaulle would be prosecuted. The only people who wouldn't be prosecuted are those who stay silent. Which, of course, is the whole point.

Japan’s problem is not that China no longer sees it as “important.” Its problem is that it still imagines American protection can inflate its actual geopolitical weight. China does not care whether Tokyo flatters itself. It only asks that Japan stop making trouble, stop provoking, and stop treating borrowed power as national courage. Asia has remained more stable than the Middle East for one reason: China exists. China will never allow Japan to become Asia’s Israel and terrorize the region again.

It used to be hard to help westerners see the depravity of the US empire. Now it’s just right in everyone’s face with raw genocide footage and insanely evil warmongering of direct economic consequence. It took a lot of work to help the average westerner understand that NATO aggressions actively provoked the war in Ukraine, or that western interventionism played a major role in the violence and chaos in Syria, or that US economic warfare was largely responsible for the suffering of Cubans and Venezuelans. The murderous savagery of the empire was hidden behind layers of obfuscation, allowing the propagandists to frame the western power structure as a passive witness to the abuses of foreign regimes. Now the propagandists have very little to work with, so those obfuscations can no longer take place. There’s no way you can spin a school full of children blown up by an American double-tap airstrike as anything other than what it is. There’s only so much narrative manipulation you can exert on raw video footage of a western-backed genocide playing out in full view of the entire world day after day for years. There’s no way to propagandize westerners into believing they want to pay a lot more more money for their fuel and groceries. I saw former EU parliament member Luis Garicano complaining on Twitter that Trump’s actions are making it look as though leftists have been correct about the US empire this whole time, saying “Many of us, liberal Europeans, spent decades pushing back against the European extreme left’s cartoon version of America ( it’s all oil/ imperialism/getting rich at the expense of others) and then one dumb administration walks in and performs the caricature to perfection.” Garicano’s entire worldview depends on his ability to avoid recognizing the obvious truth: that the so-called “extreme left” has always been correct, and that the empire he worships has always been evil. It’s just having a harder and harder time masking its true nature, because of the very evils it has tried to conceal. Everything’s becoming more and more revealed. More and more transparent. What was once done solely by whistleblowers, investigative journalists, activists and dissident media is now being done by the empire itself, because there’s only so long you can hide the truth about something so malignant. An empire that is held together by lies, corruption and endless slaughter was never going to remain unseen. The brutality necessary to dominate the planet had to come out into the light eventually. “May all be revealed” has been my prayer for our world for many years now. That dearly held wish is now being answered, and the truth is looking every bit as ugly as expected. May all be revealed. May all that is hidden become seen. In the empire. In our governments. In our culture. In our community. In our interpersonal relationships. In ourselves. All abusiveness ultimately boils down to a lack of clear seeing. Governments are able to abuse people because the dynamics of corruption and tyranny aren’t clearly seen by the public, who would violently revolt if they truly understood what their leaders are doing to them and to their world. Domestic violence and family sexual abuse can only continue when the rest of the community doesn’t see and understand what the abuser is doing. Our own abusive tendencies can only persist for as long as our trauma responses and maladaptive coping mechanisms remain hidden in the shadows of our subconscious mind. All of these dysfunctional dynamics will lose their durability as we become more and more conscious of what’s really going on, in ourselves and in our world. Things look ugly now because the truth is ugly, but it is only by truth revealing itself that we can move toward health and harmony as a species. If you’ve ever done deep inner work on your own psychology you have seen this play out in your own personal experience. You can heal your inner woundedness if you can gather up the courage to plunge into your own darkness and face with uncompromising honesty the uncomfortable realities you’ve been avoiding within yourself throughout your entire life — but you kept those things unconscious for a reason. They’re scary. They’re painful. They’re shameful. Facing them can feel like the end of the world. Yet it is only by coaxing them into the light of consciousness that they can be fully seen, reconciled, and healed. The whole world is like that. Humans as a collective cannot fix problems which we don’t clearly see and understand. Our rulers pour so much energy into maintaining influence operations like news media propaganda, Hollywood psyops, Silicon Valley algorithm manipulation and government secrecy in order to obstruct our clear seeing and understanding. But it’s all coming tumbling out into the cold light of day now. More and more is becoming visible. May the lies and obfuscations continue to unravel. May the truth continue to reveal itself.

REVEALED: Israeli spy agency Mossad sold Donald Trump a plot to instantly take out Iran—but it had one fatal flaw. And that one little mistake has put the United States firmly in the crosshairs of a war it cannot win—and is creating global panic over oil prices. . The top secret dossier, sold to the US by Mossad director David Barnea had a clear argument, that we can summarize as a four part narrative. One: A network of fake “Iranian NGOs” in the west would circulate a story that Iran had massacred 30,000 or more peaceful protesters, The story would be spread in order to manufacture consent for the west to launch a war against Iran. Two: The Americans would demand to have negotiations with the Iranians to distract them, by having them focusing on peace plans. Three: During this distraction, the US and Israeli air forces would then launch an attack that would take out the entire government of Iran, leaving all seats of power empty—including the peace negotiators. Four: Radical extreme opposition members in Iran, cultivated by Mossad, the CIA, and the NED, would then take control of the country—and install US puppet Reza Pahlavi as a proxy for Washington and Tel Aviv. . IT WORKED. AT FIRST And you know what? Every part of that plan worked perfectly. Except there was one key detail they had got wrong. And that brought the whole edifice crashing down. . ONE: DEMONIZING IRAN The story really starts in January. Mossad and the CIA worked with radical opposition members in Iran to launch a coup at the start of January in which armed men destroyed 700 shops, 305 ambulances and buses, 414 civil service buildings and 750 banks. [SEE VIDEO] They attacked 350 mosques, which is very strange for supposedly Muslim rioters– but they attacked not one synagogue. This was a major insurrection in which people on all sides lost their lives, with more than 3,000 dead after the coup was put down. But this armed coup was repackaged by fake NGOs in the west as a massacre of at least 30,000 peaceful protesters - or maybe 50,000 or 70,000 - by “the regime”. Mossad wanted the fake number to be more than the actual number of people the IDF killed in Gaza. This part worked perfectly. Here’s Time magazine [video] reporting that 30,000 died. Most of the western media supported this. Not one of them reported that the funding for these NGOs could be traced back to western political propaganda groups such as the NED, a CIA spin-off group. . TWO: FAKE PEACE NEGOTIATIONS Part Two of the plan also went better than they could have hoped for. The Americans not only successfully held "peace negotiations", but the Iranians actually made multiple concessions, giving Washington virtually everything it wanted. So the Americans could simply have proceeded with those and got what they wanted anyway. But the US and Israel decided to go ahead with Part Three anyway. (More 'fun'?) . THREE: KILLING GOVERNMENT LEADERS And you know what? That also worked perfectly, from beginning to end – in a surprise, unprovoked attack, the US and Israel killed not just the leader, but 40 members of the Iranian government. Now just imagine the outrage if any country took out the entire government of the UK or Germany or Canada or Australia. The world’s media would be writing editorials about it for years, literally years. . FOUR: THE PUPPET The Mossad-CIA plot was going exactly as planned. All they needed to do was achieve part four: the transfer of power to a US Juan Guaidó figure—a man already selected and waiting in the wings. The western media found supporters of the opposition in Iran to film expressing happiness, and tried to pretend that this was “all” the Iranians. But this was clearly not true. The vast majority of Iranians, including people involved in the violent protest of January, were horrified. . FATAL FLAW Now here’s where the fatal error showed up. Mossad’s plan failed to take into account one thing. There had been a change of attitude last year. Between June the 13th and the 24th of 2025, Israel attacked Iran, killing nuclear scientists, politicians and civilians, as well as members of the armed forces. That was also, clearly an illegal, unprovoked attack. No western leader cared—but the people of Iran, all the political parties, did care. They were outraged. Why are Israel and the United States allowed to just murder people in other countries and get away it? Support for the Iranian government rose dramatically. Mossad assumed that because their contacts, the extreme radical members of the opposition groups, still opposed the government, that many Iranians did. But that just was not true. The Iranians in general had become far more supportive of their government, and opposed to the US and Israel, than Mossad believed. . IRANIANS UNITED Donald Trump told the Iranian people that it was now over to you – signalling that part four should go ahead: a takeover by people allied to Washington and Tel Aviv. But it didn’t happen. So part four of the plan did not work. The Iranians drew together and fought back. Under United Nations law, they had full legal rights to respond to an illegal attack. They made defensive forays to take out the military bases around the gulf which were attacking them, and they closed the Strait of Hormuz. Trump was horrified and furious – not with the Iranians but with Netanyahu and Barnea, the Mossad chief. And this explains why he kept making contradictory statements – he kept saying things that implied the war would be over very quickly, as the original plan said, while also acknowledging that the opposite was true. Remember how he used the phrase “short term excursion”. He also said the war would last four days only. And he also said the war was “already over”. And so on. So we can see that the plan, as sold to him, was a quick in-and-out operation, just as it had been in Venezuela – so that was what he had in his head. . IF YOU SHOOT THE KING… Netanyahu, deeply embarrassed to have helped sell a war to Trump that had spiralled out of control, went into hiding—he was so deep undercover that rumours circulated that said he was dead. For Mossad and the CIA, the plot failed. There’s an ancient saying that all plotters know. “If you are going to shoot at the king, you better kill the king.” What the US and Israel did was shoot the leadership of Iran. But they failed to kill the leadership of Iran. So now they are in trouble. And you know what? I don’t think there is any sympathy for them.

There is a mythology the U.S. built around the American War in Vietnam. It goes like this: Young idealistic soldiers were sent into an unwinnable situation by confused politicians. They came home broken and unappreciated. It was a tragedy. A mistake. A lesson learned. Notice what that story does. It centers Americans. Their trauma. Their confusion. Their homecoming. Their feelings. In this story, the Vietnamese people are a backdrop. A jungle. An obstacle. An abstraction. Three million dead Vietnamese people are the scenery for a story about American self-discovery. They made hundreds of movies about Vietnam. The Deer Hunter. Apocalypse Now. Platoon. Full Metal Jacket. Born on the Fourth of July. Hamburger Hill. Count how many of them center a Vietnamese character with a full human life, a family, a name you remember after the credits roll. They turned our genocide into their coming-of-age story. They lost the war and still managed to make themselves the main character. And then, with extraordinary arrogance, they put their soldiers' names on a wall in Washington and call it a memorial, as if the dead to be mourned were the people who flew 10,000 miles to do the killing. Where is the wall for our three million? There isn't one. Because in their telling, we were never quite real enough to mourn.
