On àgbo or traditional medicines generally, I have this to say. The problem with tradomedicine these days is the lack of regulatory bodies. Just anybody can wake up and start selling àgbo. Without adequate knowledge of dosage, even the most therapeutic drugs can have deleterious effects. That being said, our people have great herbal knowledge and casting them out blankly will do us more bad than good. First, majority of the medicines we use today were developed from the folkloric use of herbs. Every pharmacology student knows this. 1. During my MSc program, I was tasked with working on a potential opener of the mitochondrial membrane permeability transition pore. Any herb/chemical that can serve this purpose will be a potential anticancer agent. With my knowledge about inflammation and the little I know about Yorùbá tradomedicines, I met with an elder in my community who recommended a plant to me for that purpose. This was what I used for my master's research. Not only did this plant open the pore, it was gentle on liver and kidney. 2. A professor of biochemistry, University of Ìbàdàn once shared an experience he had with us openly during lectures. I won't mention his name but all of my mates who underwent MSc Biochemistry program between 2018 and 2021 know who I'm talking about. He gave birth to a baby in UCH. The baby's bilirubin level was really high. For three days, normal treatment were administered but nothing was changing. His child was given the best of treatments because many of the doctors passed through him. On the third day, he called home and they sent him small herbal concoction. He snuck it into the ward and administered little to the child. After four hours or so, he asked them to take blood samples again and your guess is as good as mine. Bilirubin level came down. He quickly thanked the doctors, not wanting them to know what actually happened. The second day, he administered a little, and so he did for some days till the baby became normal. 3. I have personal experience of a time when orthodox medicine failed me and traditional medicine came to the rescue. I wouldn't be alive today if we had stayed with just orthodox medicine on that fateful day. I plan to tell the story on my biography. So, I'm not spilling it now. Sadly, a lot of àgbo sellers out there are destroying people's lives. That's just the sad truth. You just have to be close to many of them and you'll see from the preparatory phase that they only care about the money. Many of them don't actually have the knowledge of herbs. They're like quack herbal medicine practitioners. They will even contaminate the connection with different bacteria that can cause other problems. But this does not mean àgbo is bad. We just have to work on having a regulatory body that will ensure high standard amongst practitioners. I know of professors who are sending herbs to Caucasians in Europe. Prof. Samuel Oluwalana is one. Prof. Maurice Iwu (former INEC Chairman) is another man I respect so much when it comes to herbal knowledge and they're making forex from it. If it is prepared by people with knowledge, àgbo will work where orthodox medicine fails.

So there’s girl I know very well. When she was seventeen, she was kissing this guy, it was her second kiss. That’s how she choked on the guy’s saliva. It was not funny at all. I almost died. I’m alive today only because of His grace😭

Hi guys, I'm excited to offer 2 aspiring filmmakers the chance to join my upcoming set. I have just three questions: 1. How do you tackle storytelling and visual storytelling in your films? 2. What particular skills or qualities do you think contribute to a successful filmmaker? 3. What are your expectations for learning and gaining experience on a professional film set?

@RayTilde Don't know if it's a superstitious or not, each time you sale an item to someone with a very little or no gain , wallahi you might end up regretting, most times. Once someone tries to make me sale anything to him below normal price with no gain, I lost interest in the deal .🙌

On the 13th of Sept, someone transferred 180k for an iPhone Xs 256GB. After acknowledging his receipt, he called, and I told him we don't have it but will ask colleagues and let him know. I asked my friend, and he told me 190k. I begged him to leave it at 180k because that is what the guy deposited (check frame 2 for reference). When he sent the phone from Kano to Jos, then I noticed it was an Xs Max. Seeing that the guy was in a hurry and didn't want to disappoint, I called him and told him what happened and said if he wants the Max, he can take it at no additional cost. I was willing to settle the difference because it was his first time buying from us. I packaged it with a new premium charger because all our used phones are sent packaged in our branded box with a charger, and I sent it to him in Abuja. He later messaged that he has received the phone and truly appreciates it. After months of not receiving any complaints from him, it clearly indicates that he has received a fully functioning phone. It is in our policy that if you find anything faulty within one week, you can return it to us and either ask for a replacement or refund. What this means is that the cost of bringing it from Kano to Jos, the packaging and charger, and the delivery to Abuja are all a loss to me. But I didn't mind because at least I have satisfied him. Nine weeks later, while I was in Kano, I saw a call from an unknown number. When I picked up, he said it was him. He told me that the camera has started giving him problems. I told him it has been months since you bought it, but you can take it to any repair store and tell me how much you spent, and I will pay. He asked if I know anyone, and I sent him someone's number. The guy didn't pick; he texted and informed me and later called me. I told him to go to anyone he trusts and let me know the amount he spent. A few days later, I was stranded between Kaduna and Abuja on my trip from Kano to Abuja because my car engine failed. He called, and I didn't pick; I don't even know his number. Later in the night, I received his messages on WhatsApp with a threat that he will make a video to tarnish the image of my business. Someone I was willing to help after months of buying a USED device from me is threatening me. I said he should go ahead because I can't entertain him anymore. In conclusion, a trade that I incurred a loss from is what some people are trying to justify as a scam. The beautiful part is I have made trades with hundreds of people here, and I would love two more people to come out and present a case in which they are still using a device I sold to them that is faulty and they contacted me for a replacement or refund, and I didn't do it instantly. "The hypocrite will always look for faults" - Ghazali. Those that are looking for a fault in me can justify something as woke as this; it doesn't matter. This is my own side and will no longer entertain him anymore. For those that believe in me without hearing from me, thank you so much.
