well enjoy them, because thanks to generative AI, nobody is ever crafting an aesthetic over decades again, and no market will exist to support those who try it. hypothetical future generations will have an almost exact fossil record of when culture stopped

A troubling paradox: iconic aesthetics from artists like Hayao Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli, crafted over decades, are now commodified into quick, consumable, even vapid content.

My first gig in Paris. I’m stood on the dancefloor about to go on, i feel heat down my back, i turn around a man is mid projectile vomiting, its all down my back and my jeans. My hotel is 40 mins away by car, i try to wash my jeans and top in the venue toilet. There is no hot water or soap and to make it worse a visible human shit on the seat of the toilet - not even in it. I wash my clothes in cold water and put them back on wet. I played to maybe about 30 people, should’ve just gone back to the hotel instead. Had to buy new clothes from decathlon the next morning as I didn’t bring spares.

You misunderstand the purpose of the long shower. I'm not doing anything in there. I am literally staring into nothingness and using the sensory input of falling water to temporarily wash away some of the horror of corporeal human life.

people who shower for 30+ minutes, what do you even do in there?? what makes it take so long for you to shower, genuine question
