For a fact that i am convinced that Indian Navy converted one SSBN into it's own "arsenal submarine", INS Arihant could carry up to 12 K-15 Sagarika in 4 missile tubes carrying 3 per tube, It's highly likely the newer S2 or S3 converted to carry 24 × K-15 Sagarikas. 🇮🇳👑

When US Congress canceled the funding for "Arsenal Ships"in 1998, the USN converted 4 Ohio SSBN into "arsenal submarines." which carry up to 154 Tomahawks, with 22 missile tubes carrying 7 per tube. A single Ohio-class SSGN shifts the balance of firepower in an entire region.

@AdityaS76580707 @KSingh_1469 There still might be value as a missile truck, carrying long range stand off munitions Also could take on a role of mothership for UAVs Even the Chinese are still keeping around the J-16/J-15 variants if I'm not wrong

Beats me why the Russians would want to transport super-sensitive cargo - N sub reactor parts - over sea - within shooting distance of half a dozen NATO members. Safer would’ve been overland - through the land border with North Korea- the Friendship bridge over the Tumen river-

So as per Railways, the incident happened on a non standard diamond crossing, what are being phased out all over Indian Railways, it's just that it should have been done earlier to prevent such untoward accident. x.com/i/status/20488…

Both. For different reasons. For 003, since it is still using conventional power, the new AOE can help with carrying more fuel for the carrier itself. For 004, the carrier may have a carrier air wing with a mix of larger 6th gen fighters and large number of unmanned aircraft, the new AOE can carry more jet fuel for it.

It is an apple to orange comparison to put PLAN's new AOE next to a few contemporary carriers. Though it is one way to leave an impression of its sheer size. At 270m in length, the new AOE is only slightly shorter than the Prince of Wales while longer than the Vikrant and Kaga. It is likely to reach 65,000 - 70,000 metric tons in full displacement, and that is only lighter than the PoW while significantly heavier than the other 2 carriers here. It will be an invaluable member of the future Chinese carrier group centered around their super carriers.

Ok. I was being lazy. This is not a Type 901. Considering Type 901 already has a full displacement of 48,000 metric tons. This new replenishment ship is going to be monstrously big.

We don't & won't have the luxury of spending SHORADS at these drones, OP sindoor imo would set up a bad precedent, sometimes like APKWS is affordable & doable for long term but an Akash Or derby/python from spyder at better more advanced Yiha equivalents are not.

@KaliputraX Ideally we should start now, work on the sub systems so by the time approval and construction begins integration should be relatively easier Test a scaled down ver of emals at INS Hansa , have it launch SWiFT's, and possibly make a Naval LCA CATOBAR capable, and test reactors

@MapOsnit Could it be a case of how the System is used, rather than it's the system itself Like Russian S400 performance vs Indian S400 performance Do many of the Gulf states and the us bases have layered air defense and sufficient drone countermeasures 🤔🤔

@Kunal_Biswas707 A practice we should adopt tbh The design agencies should have their own platforms Ik hal has access to 2 Tejas fr testing Maybe give the design bureau and MDL a rajput ddg as a test bed 😁

Meet China's State Shipbuilding Corporation's Discovery-1 civilian research vessel and aircraft carrier. It is primarily used for testing drones and helicopters. 🇨🇳 It's like HAL or India's Warship Design Bureau has its own carrier independent of the Navy to test prototypes. 🇮🇳

Exotic weaponry in the Armenian arsenal, including smart guided bombs and cruise missiles. Wonder if Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group had any hand in it. Armenian forces have a lot of drones and optical systems, along with small arms and artillery of Indian origin. 🇮🇳🇦🇲
