Then in the off season when we search for the next head coach of the Oilers, you will get one of the first interviews…” Whatever happens, I firmly think this coaching staff has lost the room… just listen to 29 before the Olympic break and now 97 tonight…. @PrairieIRP @DaveDawson7 Shouldn’t even be such a thing as drafting 15 yr olds. Not even Ontario is that nuts. 1/2 the kids have barely started puberty. It’s kinda nuts when you think about it. @DaveDawson7 My take about this draft is the provincial cups will determine a ton of how this draft shakes up. All the kids from different leagues under one roof. From the scouts and agents I’ve spoken to that has been the clear message. Players can jump rounds with a good cup.

Helluva u15aaa final today with Lethbridge peaking at the right time after finishing 6th in the south over Red Deer who were 34-0 and a wagon. We never know who will win !

@coopsie39 Need to see if he can be consistent for many games in a row. Like playoffs are.. I think it’s smart. After all, everyone LOVES to rip on Stu because Pickard came in. Apparently, you can’t do that in playoffs.

I’m not “criticizing Knob” but I was expressly adamant that Jarry needed to start one of the last two games, preferably against Florida. Can’t run Ingram in to the ground. All backups play. No starter starts more than 4-5 in a row.

@KevinMcCurdy @_TheIronCowboy Team promptly went out and started poor the next 2 seasons as well. I am not pushing for a firing, so much as believing there might be a better coach available. Seeing Gully and Woody working with Dallas is hard.

I can tell you for 100% certainty that McDavid had nothing to do with the Knoblauch hiring. That was a Jeff Jackson comfort thing, had nothing to do with McDavid.

@KevinMcCurdy @EdmOilerlytics Solid take, I didn’t want Woody gone. He had a swagger. He changed systems and it didn’t work. Got him canned. Knobs did also, got Coffey placed on his bench can’t change coaches every 2-3 years either. I dunno, try hard to not to knock coaches, but Knobs isn’t very captivating.

For the “Mcdavid hired Knoblauch” crowd. I don’t think he wanted Woodcroft fired: "He never lost the room, I didn't think. He never lost the room." "loved playing for Woody”, calling him "unbelievable coach" who would be back in the NHL quickly.

@50in39 @Steele131 Don’t disagree.. his is forcing everything. Hence my gripping the sticks. Seems like the Oilers are working towards the structure they, need.. but just aren’t consistent with it yet. Still lots of runway. I am not really too too worried about it. No playoffs means more golf. 😂
