So I was sleeping on how incredible even the day 1 and 2 photos would be. The aesthetic is different from the Hasselblads but the Art II photos will be remembered forever. Aura, as the kids say.

I remain pretty convinced that Apollo program Hasselblad photography remains a civilizational high water mark re: vibes / accidental art. And the lesser known ones are in some ways greater.

Muqarnas is a geometric system used in Iranian-Islamic architecture to articulate transitions between surfaces, commonly applied in domes, vaults, and entrances.
The element is composed of tiered modules arranged in a three dimensional pattern, creating a honeycomb like structure. These layers break down solid surfaces into smaller facets, allowing light to interact with depth and produce shifting shadow across the surface.
Often combined with tilework, muqarnas integrates structure, geometry, and ornament into a single system. It operates as both a spatial transition and a surface articulation, linking planar walls to curved ceiling forms through precise repetition.
