@annticki @jeff_gluck Sooo the bud shootout that used to be held at Daytona to start the year? Which never had a fan vote?
English

@jeff_gluck I miss the only pole winners during the season and fan vote would be in the race.
English

@joegucciardo @hanklee89 @RacingFan_54 @jeff_gluck Oh I’m well aware and agree with you. I was calling out the individual making his point of “once you’re out, you’re out”.
English

@2448cole @hanklee89 @RacingFan_54 @jeff_gluck Tbf the officials knew it was on them for not calling off the start so at that point they said “well we inadvertently screwed you guys we may as well let you take the backups out.”
English

@Brett0_0 @jeff_gluck You weren't here for the time Jeff Gordon won the All-Star Race in a backup car.
English

@2448cole @RacingFan_54 @jeff_gluck NASCAR waving the green flag and it pouring rain seconds later is a little different than what just happened but go off

@Lilcofficial601 @bobpockrass @NASCAR Yes because we didn’t learn how stupid it was to send literally everyone out at the last possible second of a qualifying session back when cup did it.

@DaOtherShip Elliott has the personality of a potato. I honestly dont get it. Like hes decent drivewise sometimes, and hes a legacy/nepo driver. Why is he so popular?

@ZachFleer270 @MartyBannister What you happened to see was the best team in the state fail to make it to state. What everyone wanted, Lakota vs Princeton rematch failed to happen. That game was an afterthought. Look at the D6 and D7 numbers for the whole weekend. Excellent attendance during March madness
English

@MartyBannister Did we see different D1 final attendance numbers?
English

Ok, and why should they care what the NCAA Tournament does? High school fans who want to, will be at their high school teams games, this past weekend proved that.
Zach Fleer@ZachFleer270
They won't listen to me so it's like yelling into the wind, but the OHSAA should really consider not running the state tournament during the first weekend of March Madness

Delphos St. John's completed an incredible undefeated season, knocking off longtime rival Kalida, 56-47, for the Division 7 State Championship at UD Arena in Dayton.
A patented quick start for the Blue Jays (29-0) put them in command early, leading 19-15 after the 1st Qtr, and extending their advantage to 36-25 by the halftime break. Mr. Basketball finalist Cameron Elwer was spectacular, scoring a game-high 28 points with 7 rebounds and 5 assists to help St. John's into the driver's seat for their 4th State title. The Wildcats (17-12) would apply some heat in the 2nd Half, however, making the Blue Jays earn it down the stretch.
After losing the 3rd Qtr by a count of 11-9, Kalida would come storming back to start the 4th Qtr, trimming the St. John's lead down to 7. A clutch 3-pointer from Andrew Elwer, combined with a 14-16 shooting performance by Cameron at the free throw line, would close out the Blue Jays' first championship season since 2002.
Wildcats sophomore guard Owen Grime finished the game with 18 pts on 7-14 FG's, and was the only player aside from C. Elwer to score in double-figures. It's the 3rd time in program history that Kalida has finished as state runners-up.
St. John's is the only undefeated State Champion at this year's boys tournament, making the program's 13th appearance.
