Not sure I knew Trevor Story has been dealing with a groin issue.
Chad Tracy said monitoring it contributed to giving him the day off:
“We got in at 3:30 in the morning and we are always monitoring Trev with the groin and making sure he’s good. We felt like today was an appropriate day to give him off.”

Nick Sogard has been such a consistent source of offense for Worcester. He just launched his 5th HR of the season. EVs are up. SwStr% and K% are down. No secret he could be a weapon off the bench for the Red Sox. I’d certainly take him over IKF vs. LHPs.

@HebHammer94 Dream on. Too bad Genius Breslow didn’t listen to the experts and the fan base about his lack of understanding about the need for power bats. Now they are dealing from a position of weakness. Failing Alvarez at least go after Paredes. Also take Duran out of lead off.

@PlayTessie Absolutely! Story reupping had nothing to do with loyalty everything to do with only team that would pay him. First logical move would be a swap with Mayer. Bottom line though is they will remain the same or get worse if they don’t somehow get a power bat.

Christian Walker passed concussion tests and spoke after the game. He’s in good spirits and plans to play tomorrow, barring anything happening overnight. The ball got mostly helmet, but did hit his forehead in what he described as a “glancing blow.”

He's a rule 5 pick they are hoping gets hurt so they can hide him on the IL for awhile. I'd send him back for Tommy Kahnle ASAP though. If you really want to keep him that bad, I'm sure his previous team would be happy to trade him.
