@Lyonseed No corn in the crib for 25+ years. (It was used for 25 before then.) Grandkids found it handy as a long concrete pad for riding tricyles when they were younger. And it has made a good backdrop for wedding photos etc.

As long as they keep producing fruit, we'll keep covering tomatoes when frost threatens at night. But that may not be enough for tonight. Already down to 6C and it's only 4 pm.

@SCSAgronomy 198.8 bu/acre projected average yield for corn in Wellington County? In this southern part of the county, I would expect closer to half of that. So that means ginormous yields in the north.🍾

You NEED to watch this clip. Sask. farmer Lesley Kelly explains the amazing steps Canada's farmers take to reduce fertilizer emissions. "(The Liberal) emissions reduction goal will prevent me and so many other farmers from putting essential nutrients back into the soil."
