I am still baffled that the TSA exists at all. This is a great opportunity to abolish it.
People hate it and it's completely ineffective.
End the security cosplay, stop treating every traveler like a suspect, and tear down the airport compliance cult for good.

The DHS admitted back in 2017 that, when tested, TSA misses up to EIGHTY PERCENT of weapons and contraband smuggled through screening. And now we have to wait in line for three hours because funding for an incompetent agency with an 80 percent failure rate is being held hostage. The whole thing is insane. Get the government out of airport security. They suck at it. And it's just another bargaining chip these sociopaths can use for their own political agendas.

You know what would prevent this? Not having federal employees with full taxpayer funded benefits and a retirement package doing the screening at airports.
The Overton Window has shifted so much that most people just accept the way to "fix" this is for congress to fund the TSA.
Well I'm old enough to remember when every airport had private companies contracted for screening and this was never an issue.
Some airports, San Fransisco for example, still have a private company doing the screening and operations there haven't been impacted.
Fly accordingly...
