@Poopikinz @AGivenSoul my guess is that it will be like current backwards compatibility and confined to digital only games which sucks because so many wont be available due to licensing and publishing contracts expiring. Also think niche games like the Cave shmups will be overlooked.

I love Aki because there's some cool places. Shout out to B-Pump (indoor climbing gym) but you'll NEVER see me shop there. Expensive as FUCK and the restaurants are pretty mid.

Akihabara is a boring tourist trap that’s a shell of its former self.
Used to be a cool place for geeky stuff and good deals, but it ceased being special once everyone found out about it.
Most of the interesting businesses no longer exist. I’m more disappointed each time I go.

Was experimenting and taking notes how RR7 performs drifting, because I'm going to remaking my drift system to be more like it, hopefully. But I noticed an odd bug, maybe it isn't a bug, but compared to my spline system it definitely doesn't handle the way you'd expect. There are parts of the road on some courses where the car will just veer off on its tangent because the system, while still active, stops functioning. So I figure a lot like layers in Unity the main track must be on some sort of layer the system functions on,
The way my spline drifting works is sort of a carrot on a stick method, but the down side of that is that there is a significant speed loss when drifting. And rather than use speed dampening forces or some stupid workaround, I'm going to change the method of how the car moves along the track, while allowing the physics to play out. I have an Idea of how this might work so I'm gonna give it a shot.

Remember The Binding of Isaac Rebirth? Remember Ether Vapor? There should be more examples.

@TvPunk59292 @onikabankz This uses NBA 2K's engine, not Unreal 5. The issue in the original post is just an example or Yuke's animators being more thorough with rigging imo, not really an engine issue.

@onikabankz Different Engines, WWE 12 Used a custom built engine called "Predator Technology" as well as remnants from the Havok Physics engine used in SvR 2011, when Visual Concepts had to redo the Yukes Engine for 2K22, they switched to Unreal Engine 5
