@cricinfomnp @ayusshsanghi So, you can’t continue having kids saying the poor are having kids. Thats so dumb. The poor is uneducated so they can’t think about future. The educated must decide. Let’s reduce population, then we can think about imbalance bullshit
English

@2GScamDMK @ayusshsanghi If families dependent on government support have multiple children who may not receive adequate education, while financially stable dual income couples choose not to have children, it creates an imbalance in future human capital. China is already facing a similar issue.

My cousin staying in BLR is married for 15 years and had decided early on to not have kids. Carrying the DINK title in urban metros till 2020 was really cool (don’t know the status now). And now, the couple in their early 40’s are not able to have kids, IVF is painful and scary and natural conception is just not possible at this age.
Boomers were absolutely correct with their timelines in life.
Millennials have screwed it.
Let’s see what Gen Z’s do.
Meanwhile I have a 3 year old son, smart but extremely naughty. I really don’t know how my wife and my life would’ve been without him.
Let certain things go as per nature.
Disclaimer:
1. To all the idiots claiming population pressure on the planet. That is primarily because of dis balanced reproduction in certain parts of the world. Your not having one/ two kids will neither add/ subtract that population growth. Even if you don’t have kids, planet will still be burdened by population in some corner.
2. As for expenses, make your lifestyle choices wisely. Don’t upgrade it unnecessarily. You have funds to do a vacation but not fund a child’s annual education is an extremely selfish reason.
Offer: I can plan your help expenses according to the number of kids you have and the city you live in. This service is free.
3. If you don’t want to have kids then don’t blame it on expensive education and high cost of upbringing. Just say for “our selfish reasons.” Dont give useless reasons.
4. As for one person in a marriage,
who doesn’t want to have kids, the other one should run immediately. Don’t suffer because of him/ her.

@Ganapathi_97 Dei Deii all this is normal. Among a batch of 300 students, atleast 5 people become very successful like going into Harvard, CMU or actor/director and YC startup. My school has this too. Such a silly and dumb post
English

@ramsri_goutham Fucker, we are already 1.8 billion people. We don’t need 15 lakh people writing JEE. Fuck, let population collapse and people get more resource job opportunities
English

With marriages happening in the 32–35 age bracket, especially for women, I see many examples around me of people feeling physically and emotionally done with the idea of a second child after having their first.
Added to that is the fact that by the time you are in the 35–40 age bracket, your parents or your spouse’s parents are often old enough to need active elder care at home. At that point, the idea of having a second child gets shelved forever.

India isn’t ready for the population collapse that’ll come in 1-2 generations. it’s only me & one more friend of mine in our age group who’ve 2 kids. Majority don’t have kids, couples with 1 kids are around 35/36 age; so they’ll probably stop with one. investing in real estate would be a foolish thing to do, given that the TFR is gonna drop huge.
English

@abhisayk000 @ramsri_goutham Maybe they will be more taxed. But if we have less babies, the future will face less competition everywhere. There won’t be 15 lakh students writing JEE and 15 lakh writing UPSC. People get more chances and better colleges. In US, Canada people get good colleges and education
English

@2GScamDMK @ramsri_goutham U r stupid!
Population doesn't decline neatly, they decline cruelly!
Less babies means less future young people BUT more oldies who'll depend on them
ie more taxes on them!
English

Wife and husband are two people who will die one day.
To keep the population stable, they need to be replaced by two people.
But that works only in an ideal world. Two people coming together and replacing themselves with two people comes with complications on both sides.
On the left side, you cannot simply assume that the number of couples is the total population divided by two. There are LGBTQ people, people with fertility problems, and people who simply do not find life partners and remain single. There is also a skewed gender ratio at birth.
On the right side, two children being born assumes that they will survive into adulthood and go on to have children themselves. But health issues, accidents, wars, and other factors mean that not everyone survives to adulthood or has children.
So the average fertility rate needs to be at least 2.1 for a population to remain stable. In simple terms, among every 10 women, it is like 9 women having 2 children and 1 woman having at least 3 children.
Now look around and see for yourself why population is collapsing in almost every country.
From personal observation, even in financially well off gated communities where both parents are working, many are stopping at just one child because they are afraid their careers will be set back significantly. There are several other factors as well, such as nuclear family dynamics and the lack of direct help in raising children.
Yes, India is overpopulated, but the math is not forgiving. It only takes one generation for things to start collapsing. And people do not magically start having more children just because governments offer incentives or run campaigns, as you can see in other countries. Once a mindset seeps into a generation, it tends to stay with them for life.
You. Yes, you, the cool kid playing Call of Duty. Pause for a moment and hear your call of duty.
