REMINDER: In 2022 the media said that Luka Doncic couldn’t win MVP because he had “never made it past the first round in the playoffs”.
In 2024 they said that he couldn’t win it because he had “never been to the NBA Finals”.
Now those same people are saying that Victor Wembanyama should win the MVP, and he’s never even made it to the playoffs.
The MVP award means NOTHING at this point. They have to rebuild the system from the ground up.

Not gonna lie — winning MVP while averaging fewer than 25 points and 30 minutes per game would be insane. Especially in this era. But all this talk is for naught if OKC simply takes care of business and clinches the 1st seed. They control their own destiny. All you can ask for
