#mufc are looking at the left side of their team during this window, but full-back seems the likeliest spot for an arrival. Matheus Cunha has grown into his role on the left wing, while Patrick Dorgu has offered plenty in that position since Michael Carrick’s arrival [@lauriewhitwell]

@MartienBall With INEOS theyve had more hits than misses lammens dorguu perfect examples. Ederson isnt a scrub hes got a good profile UCL experience and suits many styles of play. Good 3rd string to have. So long as the other too are one of tchouameni/tonali and fernandez or baleba im happy

My only issue with signing Ederson is that it feels like INEOS are going for him mainly because he’s the most affordable option. As for Ederson himself, I wish him good luck really. If he can prove himself, fair play to him… it would end up being a bargain. Not every signing is going to be a hit anyway. You can sign a superstar and it still might not work out. You’re always going to miss on a few signings and that’s just part of football.

One thing I will say about Michael Carrick. If you want one of the best minds to develop a midfielder, Carrick is one of them for sure. So I expect our midfield and passing game to improve next year.
