The men who actually wrote the 14th Amendment and its predecessor Civil Rights Act defined "jurisdiction" as requiring complete allegiance to the United States, not foreign powers. Temporary visitors, diplomats, and those not domiciled with full loyalty were never intended to pass on automatic citizenship to their children born here. This wasn't some fringe idea cooked up later. It was the consistent understanding for decades, backed by congressional debates, treatises, and early cases. Modern claims of universal birthright citizenship for everyone physically present ignore what the framers actually said. Time to restore the real 14th Amendment.

Yesterday, Governor Bob Ferguson signed Washington state’s first income tax into law. Voters rejected an income tax as recently as 2010. In 2024 they went further — passing Initiative 2111, which explicitly banned the state from enacting one. Democrats amended that ban and passed it anyway. 51-46 in the House. 27-22 in the Senate. Senate Bill 6346 imposes a 9.9% tax on household income above $1 million. The bill includes a “necessity clause” that blocks a public referendum. Opponents cannot put repeal to a vote. The Washington State Supreme Court ruled in 1933 that income is property and must be taxed uniformly. That precedent has stood for 93 years. Democrats didn’t pursue a constitutional amendment. Instead they redefined the tax as a levy on the “receipt” of income — not income itself — and are relying on a current court to accept the distinction. A lawsuit was filed the same day Ferguson signed it. Washington was already ranked 45th in state tax competitiveness. New Jersey introduced its income tax in 1976 with a 2.5% top rate. It is now 10.75%. Two years ago voters banned the income tax. Democrats wrote an exception into that ban, shielded it from referendum, and signed it anyway.

Wondering what information Eric Swalwell does not want the FBI to release? Here's some of it being discussed. 2023. Kevin McCarthy is asked why he kicked Swalwell off of the Intelligence Committee. McCarthy said that the FBI cautioned against putting Swalwell on the intel committee years earlier because of his history with a Chinese spy but that Pelosi ignored the warning. At the time Pelosi said that she "wasn't concerned" about Swalwell. Think about how sick this is. Pelosi ignored the FBI's warning about Swalwell's involvement with a Chinese spy, she put Swalwell on the intel committee, and then Pelosi, Swalwell, and Schiff spent Trump's entire first term lying to the American people, claiming that Trump was working for Russia. Swalwell has spent years claiming that the FBI "exonerated" him. That's completely untrue. The FBI actually warned Pelosi and McCarthy about putting him on the intel committee. Release the Swalwell files!

The state of Colorado has now lost at the Supreme Court on cases where they tried to force a Christian baker to bake a cake for a gay wedding, force a Christian web designer to make gay wedding websites, and ban a Christian counselor from telling a boy he is not a girl. Maybe they should consider just leaving Christians alone.

Don't EVER forget that a Democrat presidential candidate was so desperate to beat Trump that they lied to the world by literally photoshopping Kamala's face on a girl's photo to make it look like Kamala worked at McDonald's when she was younger.
