@smittygrrl Don’t feel bad not having the list is a direct reflection of being #ados, this list only makes it clearer. Nearly all whites that send their kids to UCLA or Yale have this or more and are expecting to be infused with a ridiculous inheritance through a transfer from their parent.

First of all, the Democrats are not for reparations, but your argument is still baseless. Most black people in America, 90%, are descendants of those emancipated from American slavery. I’m not sure where you are getting your information, but it is clearly incorrect. Secondly, reparations are paid every day or have been paid to various groups: Native American tribes, the Downwinders, family members of 9/11 victims, survivors of sexual abuse, Holocaust victims and their descendants, Japanese Americans interned during World War II or their descendants, Guamanians, and more. The same white immigrants who came to this country have no issue with that. When you immigrate to a nation, you accept the responsibilities and the benefits of that nation. However, reparations come from the federal government, not individual “white people.” Anyone familiar with how the federal government operates knows that it does not function like state governments, funded solely by citizen taxes. At most, federal taxes are a supplement or a mechanism to manage resources. It is indefensible that the longest crime against humanity in this nation’s history has yet to be addressed with reparations, while every other major infraction has received some form of restitution. The only defenses offered are bad-faith arguments, blatant anti-Black American prejudice, racialized stereotypes based on falsehoods, and genuine but misguided concerns about national debt.

@ados_strong Why should Trump be the only concern for Black Americans? He’s so ignorant and thinks that it’s Black Americans “duty” to sacrifice our political interests for the benefit of the majority who are the oppressors of everyone especially “us.” This is a terrible argument.

Also, as a college graduate, it is insulting for him to say that the ADOS view of academics is informed by “our enemies”. It’s both arrogance & ignorance. Antonio is a law school grad. I have a BA in poli sci. We don’t gather our views of Black academia from outside sources. We’re not manipulated into believing what we believe.

@DOmowale It's hilarious that you speak of research, but fail to do even the basic research on ADOS. No one who would agree with you that ADOS lacks research. They might disagree with the conclusions ADOS reach, but they know how much we rely on bookclub selections, articles, and academia.
