I’ve built a Maya tool called KZ Tracker. It tracks points from reference footage and converts them into animation curves (TX/TY), so you can pull timing and motion directly from video.. Not meant to replace animation just a quick foundation to build on.

@TuxedoPato I've heard of this magic called "space switching" before, but I don't fully understand it. Can someone explain it for a dummy?

Many people asked so
- Didn’t use reference
- Took 12-16 hours
- I space switch to make animating easy (can make a short example video)
- The idea was “attack without touching the ground.” I just made poses that felt natural from one to the next. I can write more about it later

@GDragonDev @TuxedoPato To put it simply, space switching allows you to put something in world space and use that animation data for a more streamline and intuitive approach, if u have a hat that follows a character jumping, putting the hat in world space and delaying frames, boom, easy overlapping.

I animated and implemented new jumps for @everfluxgames! Super hard to do. Really interesting to learn that you can push the character into the ground during takeoff to keep the mesh from going up with the capsule.
