The AMD Platform Security Processor (PSP), now called AMD Secure Processor, is an on-die ARM Cortex-A5 coprocessor embedded in AMD CPUs since ~2013. It serves as the root of trust: handles secure boot, DRAM/memory init, fTPM, SEV encryption keys, random number gen (RDRAND), and system monitoring with full memory/MMIO access. It runs before x86 cores activate. It cannot be fully disabled on modern hardware—it's required for CPU initialization and boot. BIOS options may toggle fTPM or security features but leave the PSP core running.

Anybody who thinks that it is ok for telemetry to use 100% of your CPU should be fired immediately.

@nafonsopt @RGAddons Bill gates forced everyone to throw out their PCs before to adopt a terrible operating system Vista. Not for AI telemetry chips either. Simply for opaque animations in the operating system that required a higher front side bus, more memory etc. He knows now he cant do it twice.

@JammboTF2 @f4micom Thinks accurate to life lighting simulations look bad, or are AI filter slop that changes the character models. Meanwhile, uses too much light to cover imperfection in potato quality pictures of themself, because they don’t know shit, and feed on incel attention. You’re a virgin

@2yubert @iconredesign It's because at the time it was multiple times faster than previous generation Intel Macs while achieving insane efficiency. It marked a new strategy for the Mac and sent shockwaves through the tech industry Even to this day it still holds up really well

🚨 Did you just see what YouTube did? YouTube isn't banning AI slop.. They're making you label it so they can train their next model to not look like slop. Read that again... You flag the bad AI content. YouTube collects it. Google feeds it into Veo 4... Then next year their AI generates videos so good you can't tell the difference... You're not the customer... You're the training data, we all are.. They got millions of creators to do free quality control on their next AI model and convinced them it was "a strong stance."
