@303extreme @Amoghgirgaonka1 As a manufacturer, I can say that the daily wage earner will be the biggest gainer in the coming days, especially if s/he is semi/skilled. The gap between middle & bottom will reduce, it's the middle layer that will suffer the most. We are already seeing this on the shopfloor.

@Amoghgirgaonka1 Yes, energy crisis -> inflation with inr depreciation -> ai hiring freeze+layoffs will trigger a domino effect, and biggest loser will be the daily wagers who mostly rely on middle class for wages. It's a nightmare if you start thinking about it!

layoffs are painful but getting a salary cut for the same work and work pressure can destroy your confidence and create self doubt. TCS confession stories are telling the scary truth of job market right now.

After 8K at Meta, 600 at linkedin now Intuit is laying off 17% head count ~ 3200 people, this week couldn't get any worse.

China manufacturing its own chips and GCs should concern everyone, once they enter into global retail market by 2028. Consider NVIDIA and half of non russell tech stocks will be wiped out. Which again will trigger a huge wave of IT layoffs in India and globally...
