I hope you are sitting down! There is no way that Don Mattingly hit 16 doubles while only having 10 hits in 1990. I propose that he only hit .025. I am impressed that 5 of those were home runs. But absolutely no way he had 42 RBI! Stop the BS Topps! This is outrageous!

You guys are NOT going to believe what I have uncovered within 1991 Topps Baseball. I can’t say tonight. It will have to wait til tomorrow. Or maybe Tuesday. But it will change everything you know about a certain All-Star from that year. When this news hits, it will change the game. Probably a change that is needed, but mark my words, this is gonna be huge.

@moerscards And that's why when I got back into the hobby I buy almost exclusively singles of players I like for my PC while hunting for fun junk wax era cards I wanted as a kid but could never find since the internets wasn't a thing then.

The hobby is unintentionally hilarious right now.
Fanatics will happily charge you $50 for a player tee so thin it’s basically transparent, crooked logos, prints half-faded. Finding new lows daily for how far the bar has fallen for "quality."
Topps pushes its EQL program as some beacon of fairness, then finds new and creative ways to shit on the same customers it claims to protect.
Ken Goldin lands a partnership with a known scammer, celebrates a "massive sale" with more red flags than Whatnot's Seller Policies... Then publicly lashes out at anyone who “doesn’t have enough money” to buy on his platform. EAD Ken.
PSA keeps raising prices, stretching turnaround times, and doesn't bat an eye... because what are you going to do, use the competition?
And just when you thought Panini might be in the clear for a second...they drop a $25K Mahomes set... essentially a dressed up topps archive release... and it sells out in seconds.
The wildest part? We keep buying.

@BALLBAKEDTAKES I like his show on Netflix, but this whole Pikachu Illustrator situation and the way they are handling the backlash shows me they have no real personal connection to the hobby. It’s all transactional.

Today I learned:
1️⃣ In 1985, Ken Goldin was found guilty of committing wire fraud after he was caught "using credit card numbers he had fraudulently obtained by rummaging through garbage".
2️⃣ 90s-2013: Ken Goldin scammed Kobe Bryant. And in 2013, lost a settlement to the Bryant Estate.
To-date, Ken Goldin's forged athletes signatures (ex. Kobe Bryant), illegally obtained and used stolen bank and personal information from "dumpster diving", and now: Logan's Pikachu.
The reason Ken Goldin "sounded off" is because Ken Goldin is a known scam-artist. He's been found guilty of it in the past. Moreover, his lost Kobe Bryant case still riddles the hobby to this day (ie. fake Kobe autographs).
This is the real Ken Goldin. @netflix can we get an updated special? Thank you!
