I just had a tough guy who beat up his wife for not having his coffee ready by the time he left for work cry like a child in the back of my cruiser because he's going to jail. He said when he gets to the jail he's gonna say he wants to hurt himself so he's not with other inmates. 100% typical pansy that preys on the weak but is a coward otherwise. Zero compassion 😏👮‍♂️

Wrong. In 25 years in the San Diego police department, the 7th biggest city in the country, I never saw even one case of an officer mistreating anyone in my presence. I was never even once investigated by Internal Affairs myself. Yet, I was personally mistreated by members of the public from my very first day on the job. Including by little children as young as 3-4 years old. Cursed at, threatened and things hurled at ms. I saw this almost everyday in some neighborhoods when I was a patrolman. I very strongly suggest that you go on at least a few ride alongs during the evening and graveyard shifts in one of the top 10 biggest cities in the USA. You’ll learn so very much. Do this before you hurl stones from your very own glass house. Also. Stand in uniform on the front line of one of these daily “protests.” Allow these ignorant protestors to stand in your face. Shouting insults at you, your wife and children. Pointing their fingers an inch from your nose. For hours. Then let us all know just how long you’d take it. I doubt more than a few minutes. Not every person can or should be in law enforcement. It takes a very special person to withstand the constant abuse, both verbal and physical. The emotional toll of everything we see on a daily basis. This is why so very many officers suffer from severe PTSD. It’s why law enforcement has one of the 2-3 highest rates of suicide of all professions. But always remember this: we must hire officers from the human race. There has only been one perfect being in all of history.

Tennessee Deputy Sheriff Derrick Bonham was murdered when he was shot and killed responding to a shots fired call. Deputy Bonham was assisting the Martin Police Department on a call about gunfire at the Days Inn. Around 3:09 a.m., he tracked a driver of one of the vehicles reportedly involved in the shooting to the Pockets Gas Station in Martin. When Deputy Bonham approached the driver, she opened her door and fired at Deputy Bonham. While he was on the ground, she walked up to him and shot him again. The suspect was apprehended. Deputy Bonham, 33, was a United States Army veteran and had served with the Weakley County Sheriff's Department for two years.
