@33KV

Never play cards with a man called Doc. Never eat at a place called Mom's. Never sleep with a woman whose troubles are worse than your own.

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT NO! you can choose to be polite. But you demand your rights from the actions of others, to be enforced with threats of state violence. Then when they are not enforced you will run away to another state that will use violence on your behalf. Until you run out of places to run.

It’s crazy how as a trans woman I’m just expected to “debate” my existence and validity as a woman, while governments criminalise our healthcare There is no nuance to be had when the media and politicians want us dead, but I’m supposed to convince every transphobe of my position

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT If that burgler is the state or its agents, or those untouchable by the state, your rights disappear. Women never had property rights till some states afforded them. You think "rights" are tangible. They're not. You have nothing except what those more powerful than you afford you

@33KV @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT >you don't fight, you are shot Yeah, I said that they can kill me and that may convince me to fight. It also may not convince me, what difference is to me who exactly shoots me dead. You are saying that violation of rights is the same as no rights, but then it's not a violation

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT yes, exactly that. You can take property at the threat of violence. That's how it works. The more powerful you are, the easier it is. When the state wants your property, they take it. YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS, you only have what the state allows.

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT "It can kill me and it can imprison me, that's all". That's all? A second ago you said you had the right to life. That's disappeared quickly hasn't it? Or you could run away and beg for protection from others. Who can say no. Where are your rights?

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT so, the only rights you have are those sanctioned by the state at one moment in time. If they take them away, you will run away to another state who will enforce your rights, till they don't. See: you have no rights, you have protection at the whim of those more powerful than you

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT The State does have that power. It can conscript you and send you to your certain death in war. It can imprison you and impose a death penalty. It can extra-judicially execute you. It can withhold life-saving medical intervention.

@carla_denyer every word there is a meaningless, undefinable platitude. "working people" "warm homes" "cheap bills" "good lives". You have to define these terms so they can be achieved in Law.

Inequality isn’t inevitable. It’s the result of decades of privatisation and deregulation. The Greens offer an alternative, where working people don't struggle to afford the basics, and have warm homes, cheap bills and good lives. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

@Humsterr @ThrashPunkRacc @vladuhat999 @nyaraVT "rights" demand the intervention of others on your behalf - usually the state and only then with the threat of violence or incarceration. You don't have absolute unqualified rights. You have a shaky agreement with the State which has the power to rescind those rights.

It's genuinely such a strange feeling to see St Patrick's Day parades all over the world full of Irish people, but at home in Ireland this is what we are subjected to. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous.

@csljohnkirby @dan7heman @CadburyUK Palm oil is used in Dairy Milk. It's literally listed in the ingredients. The palm oil content replaced an equivalent volume of cocoa butter (of which there is now less).

I understand the frustration, especially with a brand that carries real heritage. But just to be clear on the facts, standard Cadbury Dairy Milk in the UK does not use palm oil in place of cocoa butter. That change was proposed years ago and quickly dropped after public backlash. Palm oil does appear in some filled or processed products, and that’s common across the wider @MDLZ Mondelez International range, but it is not what defines the core chocolate itself. If people feel the taste or texture has changed, that’s a fair observation. But it is more likely down to a mix of: • ingredient sourcing • processing methods • cost pressures over time rather than a simple “they swapped in palm oil” explanation. Worth keeping the debate grounded in what is actually happening, rather than what we assume. Cadbury @CadburyUK matters. Which is exactly why it deserves an honest conversation.

I’m sorry @CadburyUK but your chocolate is now horrid. Palm oil makes the taste and texture all wrong. Profiteering above all else has ruined the most famous product from my city. Should never have sold out to out to Craft. #chocolate #cadbury

Things WERE better in the 70s and 80s. You know why? Because you were a kid. Things are better now. We live longer. We communicate better. We know more about the world than before. We are more tolerant and understanding. We have more choices and better things. Grow up.
