@Egnaro_Rewop @wilnerhotline You’re confusing authority with legality. A conference having the power to make a rule doesn’t automatically make the rule lawful or enforceable. I’d expect all twitter attorneys to know the difference.

I never thought I would see anything more impressive than Tennessee Twitter forcing the Vols to unhire Greg Schiano.
But the collective college football world uniting against Texas Tech and bullying it into getting rid of its starting QB, might have topped that.
This is the most united we’ve been as a country in decades.

@SpotitlsuJordan @PGuy77 If one Tech booster comment sent LSU fans into a week-long panic attack, that’s not the flex you think it is.

It’s the best solution for both Tech and Sorsby. It’s the right move. Should’ve been done at the beginning of this mess as soon as it came out.
And my trolling and joking aside, it’s also a disaster for Tech.
They burned EVERY bridge for this kid. Every single one. And their integrity as a program going forward is now gone or at least HEAVILY in question by every other Big 12 AD.
They were willing to leverage the legal system and sue their own conference thinking enough money could save them from receiving any kind of punishment. And to make things worse, they were arrogant about it all.
Now what do they do? They showed who they are and then got nothing for it. From fans of other teams to their own conference members. How do they regain that trust? They don’t have the clout to go independent. What conference would want to bring them in now if they left?
What a mess. Over Brendan Sorsby.
