On Tuesdays our Pre-K and Kindergarten parents meet for our Parent Corp workshops facilitated by NYU. These parent workshops helps parents navigate parenting in today’s society. Today our families met for a nutrition workshop through our partnership with Common Threads.

This is only session 2 of our dance after-school with @Elite_Learners and our students look amazing already. Our students are so excited to participate they make sure to come to school. PS 398 is grateful for our partnership with this awesome organization.

Today we held our March Food distribution for our school community. We couldn’t do this work without the support of our phenomenal partners Empire, The Food Bank of NY, The Liberty, and our amazing parent volunteers. #communityfirst #walterweaverbeavers

Our Beavers in grades 3-5 planted a variety of flowers in front of our school. Ms. Dent secured a donation of flowers, planters, and soil from @HomeDepot. I think their favorite part was the worms. #beaversplant #leaveittothebeavers #EarthDay2021

Today our Beavers in Pre-K through 2nd grade enjoyed a visit from the @NYCSanitation Touch a Truck. Sanitation Worker Kevin and Ms. Cunningham taught our Beavers how the truck worked and why it is important not to litter. #walterweaverbeavers #leaveittothebeavers

This is what teacher leadership looks like at PS 398. Ms. Dent and Ms. Dasher put together a virtual student town hall for Earth Day. They also secured Touch a Truck and plants from @HomeDepot for students to plant next Wednesday. @CSD17NYC @NYCSanitation
