But seriously, dispose of your tires PROPERLY and don't dump on our city like some bozo did on the JFK Expressway.
Head to nyc.gov/dsny to learn how to safely and legally dispose of old tires.

Get to know Allison Bouganim, one of our five winning artists for Trucks of Art!
Bouganim is a multi-disciplinary artist, designer and comedian based in New York City. She is best known for her interactive sculptures, with many of her works appearing as guerrilla installations throughout the city, transforming sidewalks and streets into temporary mobile art galleries.
“This project uses postage stamps as a metaphor for New York City’s diverse and vibrant community, while also highlighting the often-invisible labor of Sanitation Workers who move waste out of the city,” Bouganim said of her truck design. “Like old friends sending letters through the mail, these workers carry the remnants of daily life from one place to another, sustaining the city’s continuous cycle. Digging through someone’s trash is one of the most intimate ways to understand who they are, offering an unfiltered and deeply private glimpse into everyday life. Together, these elements explore the connection between community, labor, pride for our home and circularity, revealing how what we discard continues to speak about who we are.”
The truck Bouganim painted will serve Brooklyn Community District 10. Keep an eye out for her sweet love letter truck!

Get to know one of our five winning artists for Trucks of Art!
Meet Catherine Witherwax, a Brooklyn native and freelance illustrator. Witherwax said she was inspired by Pac Man for this mural because, "the nature of the game requires constant adaptation, doubling back, and total thoroughness, collecting at every corner of the map. I replaced the shiny fruit with classic New York food waste, and ghosts with rats."
Keep an eye out for this truck in Brooklyn Community District 1 and stay tuned for more videos about each artist and the truck they designed.

Every week, nearly 500,000 cars violate street cleaning regulations, preventing us from sweeping more than 3000 miles of streets. YOUR street suffers when SOMEONE ELSE breaks the rules.
We HATE that! We want to keep New York City clean, and you do too - right?
Yesterday, the New York City Council voted YES on new state legislation to help us do our jobs. Now we need Albany to act!
