They can’t dump that trash there! Our Environmental Police impounded a truck by Laurelton, Queens for dumping construction and demolition material – a dirt, rock, wood, concrete and metal mess - onto the ground with no permits to do so. Follow the rules. Keep NYC clean.

Need to get rid of “sharps”? Do it the right way! Place items in a leak-proof, puncture-resistant container such as a laundry detergent bottle, seal it up, label it, and place it in trash. @NYCSanitation Why is it some supervisors are helpful and others it’s like the moment you point something out because they don’t want to take accountability try and make it seem like it’s the Porter who’s at fault and then threaten to give you a ticket because you keep pushing back

@NYCSanitation I started using the new bins and I put out my old pails out as garbage and the guys took just the pails and put the covers in my new bins. Why were they not taken? why didn’t the guys that picked up the pails take the covers as well.

Containerization gets results. Since rolling out containerization in 2024, rat sightings are shrinking! Specifically, they've been shrinking for 19 months straight. Thanks for doing your part, New York. With official NYC bins and Empire Bins, the Trash Revolution will make rats less and less visible.

Thank you to @nycsanitation for your continued efforts to keep our borough clean. Following our office’s request, DSNY completed another cleanup at 1765 Carter Avenue, just after a recent cleanup in a neighboring Bronx community. When residents raise concerns, we take action and work with our city partners to get results. A cleaner Bronx is a safer, healthier Bronx, and we appreciate DSNY’s ongoing work to address quality-of-life concerns block by block.
