A Web-Based, Agentic ComfyUI-Style Builder for 3D Okay, this is actually pretty interesting. I’ve been testing Flow, a new tool from @3DAIStudio . It’s basically a web-based, ComfyUI-style workflow builder made around 3D, with specialized nodes, logic nodes, and an AI agent that can help build the workflow for you. Game dev day 3 progress on 🎲 High Roller - my new dice roguelike game I'm honing the core play loop - getting the feel down, micro interactions etc I've taken advantage of 1/100th of what @threejs has to offer, and I'm already loving the look - UI is @threejs - no HTML/CSS - The three charms you see generated using @3DAIStudio (Tripo P1) - Table modelled by yours truly - Dice are procedurally generated - but PBRs are again, 3DAiStudio (patina) - The UI design I hand made and then instructed the hell out of fable to deliver it. It did a pretty good job! I'm gonna see what the clanker comes out with overnight if I just tell it "re-use my UI component system for the rest of the game and overhaul everything including micro-interactions" Not expecting miracles but why the hell not roll the die and see where it lands (ha)🫡

Here's a very early glimpse at my next game - a dice pokerish roguelike "High Roller" I've had this designed and specified for a few days, and fable's done a... playable first go?? It needs a LOT of work, but it has given me a POC. I used @threejs + Box3D (compiled 2 WASM)

@urbanarson @MrCollison FYI in our remeshing you can choose either quads or tris, its just that GLB format doesnt support quads but you can just select FBX or OBJ 🫡

@MrCollison @3DAIStudio Yep, understood, but normally in a games pipeline we do quads then either optimize for tris or let them get tessellated in engine. This adds a bit of future proofing, but the quick turn around of something like this is great! I'm sure tris to quad ai tools are coming.

Tripo P1 is ridiculously good at low poly + decent topography It's not perfect BUT - I can correct that dodgy dice in blender - the model is going at ~1/8th screen size in my game so no need for perfection - it captured 90% of the look I was going for generated on @3DAIStudio

Blender Cycles renders of 5 of the charms in High Roller It's a dice rogue-like where you make poker-like hands with dice and beat a series of levels while you get dice upgrades and more These models are the "Charms". Things that give you effect advantages My current workflow: - @3DAIStudio to generate reference images (en-masse, using reference style images so they stay consistent) - that's GPT Image 2 - @3DAIStudio the models (@tripoai's Tripo P1 model). Ultra textures, PBR material - I modelled the table and dice tray by hand in @Blender , used the beautiful PBRs from @PoliigonHQ - The dice are a model by rogozhko on Sketchfab. I also generated the HDRi using GPT Image 2. I'm not sure if I'll use it in game but it's stunning for something out of an image model, and great for concept renders like this! I'm gonna generate a few more charms, dice and other game components Then upgrade my ThreeJS PoC and see how far we can push WebGPU / TSL to get a balance of realism, taste, fun and (no pun intended) charm

Nailed it HDR lighting + the same LUT from my game (all subtle) and some good defaults! More model previews in the comments + an actual pixel art config with all models @threejs makes this stuff so incredibly easy to implement - @mrdoob is this official example worthy yet?

@threejs @mrdoob Also loving these models from @3DAIStudio - there are imperfections but the pixel art style eats those right up The tavern windows are the only issue I spotted, I just need to tidy it up with an actual glass face + texture
