@ShortSeller You should do the break even math on social security (early vs later) keeping in mind how long you think you’ll live.

I'm currently still very uncomfortable because for the first time in over a decade I have credit card debt that I will not pay off by months end. I'm also petrified that I might have to start tapping our IRA's, and/or receiving our social security early (IF I take that now we get like $4K a month VS 6K a month if we wait till we're 70)...Thnx to my twitter fam. I actually have a few various offers (soft until they actually materialize). Also, hundreds have continued to suggest I start a paid service (which I have wanted to do - just not alone)...I'll figure it out as I have lived my entire life month to month even as my net worth and monthly income swelled (suckiest feeling ever). I got a new tenant who sent me a deposit for a room starting April 1st (which will replace a traveling nurse who's been here for a year) - So I currently will have 3 tenants (out of 7) bringing in $4K monthly income- not the almost 10K we had coming in before Trump gutted a lot of healthcare funds but it will mitigate some of the monthly bills -$2K mortgage $2K electric...$1K electric...$4K my property manager + money to live like food etc... until I figure something out...thank you for your thoughts Johnan.

@ShortSeller Love you too! Any update on the job/income? Been thinking of you and your family.

@cullenroche can the govt fill the demand void entirely on its own? do they have to tax/redistribute some wealth from the AI winners, who won't be able to escape since this likely becomes a global problem?

Something I am thinking about a lot these days: Let’s say AI turns out to be the humongous job killer that some think it will be. That would result in a huge decline in aggregate demand and negative wealth effect across large swaths of the economy. GDP stagnates, but doesn’t necessarily go down. Unemployment goes up enough to get a technical recession. The wealth accrues to fewer and fewer firms and people (the stock market could, paradoxically, go UP in this recession, after initially collapsing). Yields collapse. The Fed stimulates. QE to the max. Automatic stabilizers fill some of the void. The deficit explodes. Calls for a UBI become more prominent. This gets worse and worse until the govt is filling the aggregate demand void entirely (which they’ll be able to afford because inflation will be so low). TLDR: All of the mega trends of the last 40 years get exacerbated. What am I missing?

@A_May_MD what're your thoughts on $WW as a beneficiary of surging demand for oral GLP1s?

Tbh doesn’t seem like $NVO or $LLY have responded adequately to the out of the gate rocket signal we are seeing for oral launches. Seems to be a lot of pent up demand, which I’m guessing comes from marginally obese/overweight people who don’t feel like they need an injectable and are willing to pay DTC prices for a pill. Obesity market has another heave in it, IMO.
ResearchPulse@ResearchPulse1

Coming into 2026 analysts consensus for wegovy pill was about average weekly TRx 70,000 throughout 2026. In just FIVE weeks, the sales is already above weekly 70,000! That number could very likely cross TRx 250,000 by the end of Q1…….. While 2026 started with lots of downgrades after $NVO guides for 2026, 2026 will also be the year where analysts and NVO will come with several upgrades throughout 2026. $LLY $VKTX

I watched the ICE video carefully. The tires move towards the officer first. Then he draws his weapon. She positions her vehicle such that the officer is directly in front of her vehicle. He then fires - only then. The vehicle then veers to the right.

I find it curious how there's a doomer-ish rush to pin any cooling in home prices/rents entirely on demand-side challenges. The areas with cooling rents/prices are also the areas that lead the nation in jobs/population growth (even at reduced growth rates), but added supply at an even faster rate. The areas (i.e. Midwest) seeing material appreciation in prices/rents are seeing lesser demand-side growth, but also significantly less supply -- thereby allowing continued appreciation. It's all about supply AND demand -- not just one side of the equation in a vacuum.
