Genuinely believe your best shot (ironically?) is Giannis. Built enough to body up, quick enough to stay in front, long enough to reasonably contest shots. Imperfect and has a shelf life. But ya, I think closest you get is him, Scottie Barnes, or Embiid with robot knees

Cameron Boozer is the youngest of the top 4. Had the best impact metrics. Performed better than Caleb & AJ in the agility drills. Has an NBA ready body with zero true weakness in his game.

Unless a player hits the top 1% outcome of one-way scoring guards, we’ve seen what really good fringe All-Star type one-way guards like Trae Young, Ja Morant, and De’Aaron Fox are worth on the market.
This is a league where wing inflation is at an all-time high. Look at Mikal Bridges, Desmond Bane, OG Anunoby etc.
Why use a premium asset on a one-way scoring guard when the pathway to that player having value is so much more narrow than the pathway for a two-way player with more size to garner value?

The entire conversation around the pick at 6 for the Nets and Darius Acuff Jr. especially revolves around the changing landscape of the NBA. The NBA has become like the NFL. One way scoring guards are like RBs. Positional value isn’t there even if they’re individually the most skilled. Darius Acuff Jr. is the best individual talent after the big four but the league values two-way wings/bigs like the trenches in football.

Planting my flag — Keaton Wagler is my guy for Brooklyn at 6, if he’s there. I prioritize positional size, IQ/feel, shooting, and versatility at both ends and he fits that criteria best among the guards projected to go post-top 4. Long enough, crafty enough, smart enough, and skilled enough to create + score despite some athletic limitations. His versatility on both ends is easiest to build with moving forward as he can play with anyone.
