I stand by the idea that Peyton Watson at around $27 million per season would be an ideal option to be a 6th man for the Nets backing up 2 or 3 positions while playing starter minutes. He can start down the line as the roster changes over the next few years.

He lost his job as a starter, but Noah Clowney remains a great theoretical fit with Demin and MBJ as a play finisher and weakside rim protector.
The talent is there, just needs to start hitting catch-and-shoot threes at a higher clip.

If you had to distill the Sean Marks era into one situation, it would be tanking the entire year for the 6th pick, drafting Mikel Brown Jr., and then sitting him out the first two games of Summer League when everyone else is playing.

Joe Harris leads the Nets with 282 games started since 2016-17, the beginning of his tenure.

Part of the hesitancy around MBJ I’ve heard is that he doesn’t “orchestrate” the offense as well as Wagler and Acuff.
But I can’t shake the feeling that responsibility is going to be part or Demin’s role.
