Just watched our son play in a School Rugby festival, where no scores were recorded or any knock out rounds/winners etc. Most parents seemed fairly confused as to why, as in other sports at this age (U8&U9) competition is normally encouraged. Interested to hear ppl’s opinions 🤔

@AndyGoode10 @WorldRugby As someone who has been involved with grassroots rugby . The conduct code is written TREDS core values of the game Teamwork Respect Enjoyment Discipline Sportsmanship. Joe failed on 2 counts. Children watch the game on TV. Also rules are rules .

Having read the statement around the Joe Marler suspension, we can’t ever complain about other unions applying their own interpretations. How the disciplinary process isn’t streamlined by @WorldRugby is ridiculous. How is it a breach of an RFU rule & not a law from the law book?!

But hey ho, poor boy is also required to give a presentation to a local club or school, and to a Premiership academy, on the core values of the sport. He'll have to learn them

@IssieAtch Yes but City's wage bill is circa £2m whilst Chief's is circa £6m to £6.5m and £27 is not quite a quarter of £80. As others have said there are bogoff deals in the rest of the ground.
