One silent film actor who posed for stereographs was cross-eyed comedian Ben Turpin, in this photo seated next to a man with a stereo camera. Can anyone identify the man with the camera, or provide information about this picture? Internet hive-mind do your thing!

There were several hundred of these produced with various actors, some known, some unknown. I'm going down the rabbit hole, looking for as much info as I can on these images.

A lot of people have been asking me what I'm researching at the Library of Congress. I'm looking into connections between stereographs and the early days of cinema.

@p4ra114x_5h1f4 It's on the relationship between commercial stereographs and motion pictures between 1900 and 1935. There's more details in the LOC press release link in my post.
