Almost 7 full months since this announcement and I still don't have access to this "pilot" program

@Zzombie3344556 Few caveats but it was good. Didn’t see my face, I didn’t speak, only aired on Spanish channels, and I split the role with another kid cuz you can’t work a kid more than 8 hours in a day. But all in all about $7k royalties added up

@3DPrintGeneral How was the pay? 2000s Jack in the Box used to seem like they had pretty cool people running the show.

Fun fact - one of the actors who played a lot of the side characters in this show was also Jack for 20 years of Jack in the Box commercials. I know this because I was Jack Jr in one commercial and got to hang out with the OG Jack. His name is Jack in real life too

The amount of bare feet I’ve seen in the background of photos from people sending photos of their failed prints for print help has become concerning. Cropping is pretty easy to do fyi

@3D2A_Arms Without ubi the market will find the balance between demand and supply for AI. At least that’s my theory I dunno lol

@3DPrintGeneral Serious answer, that's the logical end to promoting UBI. Business has no clients, governments need business for GDP (or they take control of businesses themselves), so businesses argue they need bailouts or UBI to survive, and people just live in a pure consumer economy.

If AI gets so good that it replaces nearly all human jobs, who are the AI doing the jobs for? Without customers, there’s no need for these jobs AI is taking. It’s a catch 22 no? This has always confused me when it comes to AI concerns.

I mean I am confused as well and don't really have a point haha. But with your decreasing the worlds population thing - I guess I thought you meant 99% of the world would would be ostracized and not have access while the 1% would have access to the new tech that can build without need for human labor. In that situation - the 1% of folks can do everything at 0 cost - their utopia. That is was what I meant. But if you mean they are waiting for AI to do everything then they kill us all off via plague or nukes - then yea that makes sense haha

@3DPrintGeneral @oclibertarians I'm confused, you think the people with all the money who charge us more to live than they pay us for our labor care about us? Care about their "Costs?" I must have missed something you said earlier.

@anarchojaQ @oclibertarians If they build this society where 99% of the population is not needed and AI can do everything, that means us 99% can also use the zero cost bots? If it’s zero cost wouldn’t it just take one person in the 1% saying “hey make robots for everyone else”?

@3DPrintGeneral @oclibertarians They will trade a net decrease of the world population of 99% for this and you know that's the plan.

@SimplyHuffy @PonyWes Then why can they do that and you and I can’t? If these robots can build things at zero cost then they can build more robots at zero cost you and I could use right?

@PonyWes @SimplyHuffy Why would these wealthy people be more wealthy than us if they don’t have businesses selling to masses? Why would they be in the utopia and not stuck with us?

@3DPrintGeneral @SimplyHuffy Replace the need for funds from general people to obtain their wants with automation they are ok with some sort of utopia as long as they get their pure luxury,even then there will be some more equal than others

@PonyWes Rich aren’t rich without customers to sell stuff to. With of course exception of oligarchs/politicians.

I can understand that - but don't most of the rich backers of politicians make their money by selling to the masses? Like - don't the big banks require people in order to have power? And then those bankers are who control the politicians building this law/surveillance state? But I guess I can see what you are saying - maybe the big AI guys will replace the current rich people controlling govt.

@3DPrintGeneral AI is being built for surveillance and control, not primarily for making money. It will be used for military, law enforcement, and surveillance. The powers that be don't care if it is profitable, as long as it helps them retain control and prevent uprisings against them.

@SimplyHuffy But don't most of the current rich people on earth depend on their businesses making profits who sell to the masses? I don't understand how there can be rich people if their businesses don't have customers to sell to (with the exception of oligarchs and stuff of course)

@3DPrintGeneral Why do you think they want to yo take the guns? The plan on depopulation and automation. The earth will just have a few rich families enjoying all the possible luxuries loungeing about.

@JacobMa60842462 Then we are talking more about a true singularity right? I can understand that Terminator style concern, I feel like current concerns are more just they are going to take everyone's jobs and we will have a mass unemployed populace - which is the concern that confuses me.

@HybridRobotix I don't know enough about that to have an opinion but it is certainly replacing jobs. But maybe you mean that the concerns of it replacing nearly all jobs others have is overblown?

@3DPrintGeneral You need to understand that what we have in LLMs is not anything close to "AI" at all. These are nothing more than fancy predictive text models. They do not think and are no intelligent. There is no Intelligence in "AI".

@3DPrintGeneral Why do you think every major AI is trying to get government contracts that's tax money not consumer money.

@denmander If neither are right, then what’s the need for AI? Companies would go out of business without consumers to buy from them

@3DPrintGeneral There are two visions where it goes right that people are chasing, one is the people that lose jobs get better jobs and pay, or AI somehow makes everything so cheap there's no need to charge anymore. Both are delusional.
