‘THE BATMAN 2’ cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt posted another photo on Instagram today! This literally looks like Gotham City, holy shit.

For the pursuit in The Batman (2022), director Matt Reeves was inspired by the horror of Christine. He wanted the Batmobile to feel like a "relentless beast" or a ghost, emphasizing the psychological terror it inflicts on the Penguin.

Four years since this incredible moment from THE BATMAN literally sent chills down my spine in Dolby. The slow, pulsating revving of the Batmobile engine is one of my favorite sound design moments in any superhero film.

Can’t believe it’s been 4 years since this movie came out. A film that means so much to me and exemplifies why I love this character so much. Happy Birthday The Batman. Can’t wait to see what Matt Reeves does next!
