Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so ˹violently˺ shaken that ˹even˺ the Messenger and the believers with him cried out, “When will Allah’s help come?”

I am sick to my stomach watching that video of the teacher being beheaded in Oyo State. You dedicate your life to teaching mathematics and building the next generation, only to be abducted and slaughtered. This is not life! The primary duty of ANY government is the protection of lives. If a teacher cannot even be safe inside a classroom, then nobody is safe. Security operatives are dying, and citizens are bleeding. We are not angry enough! We cannot normalise this madness. The government must wipe out these monsters and bring the remaining teachers home alive. My heart bleeds for Mr Oyedokun. He did not deserve this. My deepest condolences go to his family. Please @oyostategovt @seyimakinde @NGRPresident. Something HAS to be done!

Brother Amin Abdullah was the guard at the mosque in San Diego for years. He was instrumental in stopping the shooters from reaching the children today. This was his final post on FB. On these holiest days, may Allah have mercy on him and accept him as a martyr. Ameen

It is amusing, and troubling, to see our collective alarm at the news that a terrorist described as ISIS’s second-in-command, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, was bred, sheltered, and living in Nigeria. If anything, this confirms that we have long underestimated the international dimension of the crisis in northern Nigeria, and the extent to which our local conflict has become entangled with transnational terrorism. This was the point that inspired my analysis of the complexity of the conflict in the North, as captured in my Al Jazeera Op-Ed last month. The reported joint operation by the Nigerian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the United States is a great leap in our counter-terrorism efforts, and it’s what is possible when intelligence, coordination, and political will are aligned. I hope we continue to decimate these murderous parasites who have been a nightmare for our communities, and I commend the personnel on both sides for this decisive blow against terrorism.

@timmyisagod I'm building myreps.ng to fix this. It is a civic information tool where citizens can know their representatives across all elective positions. Using their current address citizens can know their voting block, look up their PUs etc etc. Please take a look and share.

AI has made the barrier that exists with building a product to become nonexistent. The new barrier for entry has now become distribution and your defensible moat. There should be no fear with building in public, in-fact building in isolation now is like a death sentence.

Nobody is building in public again…. You people are afraid of others cloning your project in 48 hours. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

#Nigerian middle class checklist, 2026: ✅ University degree ✅ Corporate job ✅ Formal sector salary ✅ Side hustle ✅ Second side hustle ✅ Still cannot afford fuel and groceries in the same week But WAEC says we're educated. The Nigerian middle class is not struggling. It is disappearing. A teacher. A nurse. A civil servant. A small business owner. People who once owned homes, educated children, and planned retirements. Now calculating whether this month's salary covers transport OR food. Not both. When a middle class dies, what's left is not equality. It's a society with no buffer. And that is where we are heading. Let's #Kontinue deceiving ourselves.... #CostOfLivingCrisis in #Nigeria is real.

My worst fear is raising kids who've never had their toes peeled playing football barefoot. Never fallen out with the neighbour's kid and made up by sunset. Never just existed outside without a screen. Just indoors. Doomscrolling. Forever. That can't be it.

We're all running at a pace that's just... too fast. Something's gotta give. I can't even sit through a long YouTube video anymore. Skip. Skip. 1.5x speed. No wait... 2x speed. Something is broken inside ourselves man. My attention span is genuinely buggy at this point 😂.

I don't use Facebook or Snapchat anymore. TikTok lasted maybe 2 weeks. Instagram sits on a phone I barely touch. Twitter is the last battle. Purely FOMO keeping me on but I'll crack it eventually (maybe Reddit + Google News). #doomscroll youtu.be/_tYCkFX8luY?si…

If you’re coming to the mosque for Jumu’ah, please come with your own prayer mat. In this scorching heat, there’s no way I’m spreading my mat horizontally instead of vertically because someone chose to come without theirs. You knew it was Friday, planned to attend the mosque, yet left your mat at home and now inconvenience other worshippers. Wallahi, gaskiya bazan shinfiɗa na takura ba! Juma'a Mubarak Everyone 😄

The way people ignore HARAM when it comes to stealing public fund makes you question the sincerity of our faith as Muslims. It is not a contest, as to whom loots more. The fact that others are looting doesn't justify you to do the same. HARAM isn't only on alcohol, pork chops, adultery & fornication, homosexuality & others, because that public fund you loot is HARAM, likely more dangerous than sinning between you and God, because when you sin directly to God, He is more likely to forgive you than when you steal public funds meant for the people.

These people live in whatever alternate universe they have created for themselves. We all know that the drop has nothing to do with improved quality of education in Nigeria. We know! Relocation cost is going through the roof coupled with the multi-dimensional poverty around here.

Japa: There’s a precipitous drop in the number of students going to study outside Nigeria. Our tertiary education is better now; we have academic session continuity, and we are investing so much. -Minister of Education Tunji Alausa #PoliticsToday
