Joao Pedro is better for Barcelona. Alvarez is more of a Fermin type player, he's good but not clinical enough as a pure 9. Joao Pedro is taller, stronger, better in duels and aerials, can play as a true striker, and fits high intensity pressing systems. Perfect for Flick. He also has more goals in the tougher EPL and is scoring in the UCL too

I wonder what they would do if they played in the EPL or La Liga. They would probably be out before the semifinals, with loads of injuries and problems. Their league is doing everything for them, even moving matches just so they can focus only on the UCL. Dembele the "best player in the world" started 9 league games this season, only showed up in the last 2 months and now he's one of the favorites for the Ballon d'Or 😂

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: This is how Luis Enrique is likely to spent the two weeks before the Champions League Final on May 30. There will be no training camp and there will be no friendly games planned. In fact, after the final League game on the 17th of May, he is expected to give the players at least 3 days off. He wants to travel as less as possible and believes the PSG training ground is the best place to prepare. — @lequipe

@NealGardner_ We should give him one more season. He might be exhausted and out of form, a full summer could help him recover and get back to his best. He also needs to drop some weight, right now he looks slow and heavy

@BarcaUniversal @QueThiJugues We absolutely need to sign him. He would bring experience and leadership to a young squad, especially with Lewa leaving. Doesn't even have to start, he would be a great rotation option and would improve the team overall. I'm pretty sure any manager would love to have him

The tactics are good, they just need a few adjustments. Joan Garcia making runs forward while defenders drop a few meters would fix a lot. The flank danger and crosses are another issue tho, we concede those way too often, especially against Atletico. The offside trap just doesn't work anymore. Flick can keep the high line, that's what makes us aggressive, but stop the offside trap. Look at Bayern, they play a high line too but without the offside trap nonsense, and it works. Flick needs to adapt this summer

🚨 BARCELONA'S CRITICAL ZONE: The main problem is the space behind the central defenders (like Cubarsí and Eric Garcia) when they move forward into midfield. When opponents steal the ball, they often send long passes over the top of these defenders into that open space. Many teams are now exploiting this, but Atlético Madrid has been the most successful with it, beating Barça in both Copa del Rey and Champions League ties. Lobo Carrasco suggests two solutions without changing Flick’s attacking style: The goalkeeper, Joan Garcia, should move a few meters forward, outside the penalty area. The central defenders should drop back a few meters when midfielders (Bernal, Pedri, De Jong, Casadó or Gavi) have control of the ball. These changes need good tactical intelligence and coordination. The idea is to defend more proactively and avoid problems, including red cards. With a strong goalkeeper like Joan Garcia, Barça should be able to keep more clean sheets. — @mundodeportivo

Relax team. Yes, it’s unprecedented for the UAE. Yes, loud noises are scary But I still have ZERO concerns. Sure, I’ve spent a career in war zones, but look at the facts as we know them: ONE confirmed death from falling debris. RIP, of course But the peak fear levels are simply not warranted UAE defence standing strong. City running normally and will continue to do so Enjoy a movie night in and monitor official channels (MOD, WAM, NCEMA) Welcome to the Middle East 🤷

Went out to admit the team's horrible performance. Recognized the need to improve and get over the slump. Defended Lamine Yamal against a hate campaign by Madrid players. Frenkie de Jong, captain material.
