@MikeNellis Why can’t you blame it on laziness? It’s never been easier to start a business. Why is everyone waiting on someone to “give” them a job? Go make one. This is even more obvious if you are staying at home w/ no bills. Take risks. Instead, they wonder the earth like zombies.

@billybinion Just banning jobs from her state. Next year it’ll be more fed funds for NYers who are out of work b/c AI.

Most data centers use the same amount of water—or less—than an average large office building. Meanwhile, they're helping lower electricity costs by financing new power generation. The hysteria over AI data centers is going to age very, very poorly.

NY Gov. Kathy Hochul is enacting the nation’s first state-level moratorium on large-scale data center construction amid concerns over the impact of the facilities meant to support AI. politico.com/news/2026/07/1…

@BigpictureBTC There is no point to anything if MSTR isn’t going up. This is just wrong. STRC is the focus, sure, but only bc it drives value to MSTR.

Why do you think that will happen? I suspect STRC will get into the low 90s in the next month. I also think they will go to a daily dividend at some point, though maybe they will lay off of that if they hit par quickly. I tend to think they will not hit par for months and we’ll get anxious in between and move to the daily dividend or do something else. This seems to have them more rattled than I would’ve thought, tho I can understand they are annoyed not to be able to buy bitcoin right now. Still, I would’ve thought that supposed stoic Saylor would be able to sit back and know that he is right and that the economics will pull in his favor soon enough. Instead, they keep tinkering more and more each week, which just increases certainty, going against the one thing they really need here, which is stability. Smart money will write off an irrational market. An anxious management team is not a good look, though.

Once STRC & SATA peg par, and it will be soon, Bitcoin is going to start cranking again. Although it's also possible that Bitcoin will start ramping up even before they hit par.

BRITISH HODL ❤️‍🔥🐂❤️‍🔥
Outside of my Bitcoin & long term positions. I have a small trading account (basically my activity bias pacifier) and I'm looking at buying LEAP Puts on some of these AI related positions. I think an aggressive pivot is coming, and I would hate to not put my money where my mouth is. First one I've added is on $IREN, yesterday.

I remember in 1993 that they measured Jordan’s vertical jump on his jump shots in the 4th quarter of the finals. The average was around 28. I think he was about 33 or 34 at that time. I have no doubt that his vertical was over 40 when he was younger, who knows the exacts. That’s up there.

There is no reason for $SATA to trade at $97 while $STRC trades at $87. Either SATA will sell off soon. Or STRC will rally soon.

@piovincenzo_ Yeah, I trust Saylor but I never believed the story that treasury cos are in it together. He wants you to pump his bags. But we are not the same. You will never catch him and everyone knows.

@IterIntellectus When will that be? The next paid protest? One of two things is true - they are paid protestors and should be ignored. Or they are literally this dump and lack any purpose in their life and should be ignored.

This is now the company’s longest stretch without a bitcoin purchase since late 2024, at three weeks. Saylor’s next move should be to sell the $1.25 billion of bitcoin which has been authorized. Until he sells it will continue to weigh on the market. For $STRC to recover to par, bitcoin now needs to move higher. That said, STRC has likely found its low, supported by more than 18 months of dividend coverage in cash. Shorts have most likely cleared now.

I feel like this is 95% correct. What I don’t like is the liar piece. We all want to land in an absolute like that, but I’m sure he believes what he says. Of course no one gives a shit — the left will scream Hitler and all that w/o a second thought. But I guess I feel like if we’re all talking BS past each other, it’s more or less pointless and solves nothing. Probably I’m naive in thinking anything else is possible. Also: there’s something egotistical about thinking these massive things can be easily solved if we all just get in a room and have an honest and fair conversation. No good answers here!

Lawrence Lepard, "fix the money, fix the world"
My favorite paragraph from the EMA Q2 report that @DFoleyBOF and I are currently writing: The bottom line is that the job of the Fed Chairman is to gaslight the American public into believing that inflation is under control while inflating enough to keep the system from collapsing from the debt burden. It is a tough job, and it requires an intelligent, smooth and skilled liar. Each one comes with a different style: Greenspan the wizard maestro, Bernanke the academic genius, Yellen the benevolent grandmother, Powell the professional technocrat, and now Warsh the handsome used car salesman. Different wrappers, same package.

Same! I’d go crazy if I had to use it in a bear, which is likely when it would happen. BUT that’s just a reason to move that ass. The idea of sitting 6 mos w no income is crazy. I won’t. Some people become snobby about the jobs they’ll do. I prefer feet to the fire and none of that garbage.

A few years ago, I built an emergency fund the “responsible” way. Six months of expenses. Sitting safely in cash. I checked the account one day and realized something: The number hadn’t gone down… But everything that number could buy had. Mortgage was higher. Groceries were higher. Insurance was higher. My addictions were higher. Life was more fckin expensive. My emergency fund was “safe” in nominal terms while quietly losing 10% in purchasing power every year. So I made a decision most financial advisors would call reckless: I moved my entire emergency fund into Bitcoin. Yes, the price moves. Yes, it can drop hard. But I’d rather accept visible volatility in an asset with a fixed supply than guarantee the slow erosion of my savings in cash. People say Bitcoin is too risky for an emergency fund. I think holding 100% of your safety net in a currency designed to lose purchasing power is risky too. Maybe I’m insane. Maybe I’m early. But my safety net is now measured in sats. Be honest: Would you ever hold your emergency fund in Bitcoin? Or is that one line you’d never cross?

@rpeterson2317 @JohnLeFevre And make $16 million for getting to the quarterfinals and share that. If the women win the whole thing, they only get 4 million and split that. See the difference?

I’ll explain this like you’re five: People who spend decades researching complicated problems sometimes change their minds based on evidence. That’s called learning. If most experts in a field reach similar conclusions, your first question shouldn’t be, “Why are they all left-wing?” It should be, “What do they know that I don’t?” This really isn’t the flex you think it is.
Rothmus 🏴@Rothmus

Your median professor sits so far left that AOC, Sanders, and Warren would count as moderates in any faculty lounge. Faculty from 55 elite universities form one towering blue spike of ideology far out on the left, density exploding past 6, with virtually nothing on the conservative side. This was built through decades of selective hiring, social enforcement, and the systematic purge of dissent. And because they credential the people who run media, law, government, and tech, the monoculture leaks into every elite institution downstream.
