Meanwhile in Dearborn, Muslims are reportedly demanding that churches stop ringing their bells on Sunday. “This is a Muslim-majority town and you have to respect us. According to Sharia, church bells cannot be louder than our Islamic call to prayer.” Don't give them an inch!

I was AG Paxton’s lawyer during the failed attempt to impeach him. I studied every piece of evidence. I cross examined the key witnesses. It quickly became apparent to me that the entire effort was sloppily thrown together by those he opposed—the old guard, the establishment. Their hope was that with unsupported, salacious allegations, along with a compliant and willing media, Paxton would quit. He would not quit. He will not quit. He will never quit. The totality of the impeachment evidence was nothing more than junk. And it didn’t take much effort to expose it. In the process I came to know Ken Paxton. He is thoughtful, strategic, and brilliant. He will be a damn fine senator for our state. Most of the attacks you see now are being made by the same people he soundly defeated in the impeachment. They lost then, and they will lose again. The Framers never meant for “politician” to be a profession. 250 years later, we should listen to them. Americans would do well to back away and retrain their senses to what should be normal and healthy vs what is not. It was inconceivable to people like Washington that someone would spend a human life in the cesspool that is that arena. A political life is one of the lowest forms of the human condition. A battlefield, meant to be fought over, survived, and won. But how much victory is enough? Or worse, how much defeat is enough? Before it dulls the senses and corrupts the soul. Until the very people whose eyes you once gazed into begin seeming like demons. For some reason we remain intrigued by power. But we would all do well to remember that a politician with 20, 30, 40, 50 years of “service” should not be seen as honorable. It should be seen for exactly what it is. And exactly how the Founding Fathers would have seen it: An abomination.
