Tampa bay lightning found dead in Persian kids Miami Beach highrise penthouse that he bought in cash from selling off some of his dads mutual funds without his dad even knowing because his dad is worth 3.9 billion and this kid has a boy that knows somebody at Goldman Sachs that knows a guy with a shell company in the cayman islands that bypasses banking security and idk what else I’m doin with this one. @pvtjokerus My office is downtown Kalispell. Since warming center opened, there is probably a 5x increase in homeless population, crime, and drug dealing. Trash everywhere, and everyone has to look over their shoulder when out & about. Town is almost unrecognizable…..

@olsonplanner @turbotax So the TT advisor is saying it can't be done at all? It would be too late to do it for 2023, as the deadline is 12/31/23. It can still be done after that, but coded as a conversion in 2024.

Love that a @turbotax "advisor" told my client the deadline for converting Traditional IRA contributions made in 2023 is 12/31/23 so it's too late for her to convert her 2023 Traditional IRA contribution to her Roth.

2023 might be over, but there are still a few big-time tax strategies you can do this year!
By April 15, 2024:
- Contribute to a traditional IRA or Roth IRA
- Do the backdoor Roth strategy
- Contribute or top off a Health Savings Account (HSA)
By March 15 (s corp) or April 15 (Incl ext):
- Open a solo 401k or SEP IRA
- Make Solo 401k contributions (plans established in 2024, limited to employer contribution for 2023)
- Make SEP IRA contributions

@TKopelman @T_Gatzemeier The response I got from my TPA was they have until tax filing deadline. Reason being, solo plans are not subject to ERISA and the deposit timing rules are ERISA rules. So @T_Gatzemeier was correct!

@TKopelman @T_Gatzemeier I read that verbiage as only pertaining to employer contributions, but I could be wrong. I have to call a TPA today, so I’ll see what their answer is.

@TKopelman @T_Gatzemeier Another point to consider is if you are an S Corp paying a salary, the W2 deadline is 1/31, and employee deferrals have to be reported on that W2.

@TKopelman @T_Gatzemeier I believe with regards to 401(k) plans employee contributions have to be made as soon is as administratively feasible. I know Simple IRA employee contributions have a 30 day window to be made. I’m not sure It would fly to make employee contributions this far into 2024, IMO.
