We’ve noticed a new type of threat traffic on our network 👀 Malicious actors are using a series of sophisticated social engineering tactics to create convincing Zoom meeting invites. Once you click the fake meeting link, you’ll get a pop up to “update” the Zoom app. Once you approve the fake update, the bad actor then has access to information on your device. We’ve categorized domains on our network that are associated with domain impersonation/spoofing of Zoom meeting as malicious. By toggling on the “very new domains” and “new domains” categories in our dashboard, you can help mitigate threats like these—we highly recommend double checking that your DNSFilter policies are blocking these categories!
