My wife had a months-long affair with someone from work. I found out by accident, not through honesty. Yesterday I decided not to forgive her. I asked for a divorce without negotiation. Her family says I should try, that “we all make mistakes.” What they don't say is that some mistakes are repeated for months with full awareness. I'm not going to rebuild something that was broken by long-standing decisions. Love also has dignity. I can't believe so many smart people are falling for this bullshit. Trump has chastised more than one reporter for asking a "war plans" question, saying "why would I tell you and telegraph it to the world" and now he's saying the targets he's going to hit and the time? It's deception. I suspect the US will plant a flag on Kharg island and control 90% of Iran's oil flow and the Strait of Hormuz before the deadline to start dropping bombs on "bridges and power plants". Trump would risk being called "TACO" to have complete success in the Iranian conflict.

Making a threat that you cannot follow through on without it being a war crime is not a smart strategy. Following through on a threat that would be a war crime is also not a smart strategy. Even if you believe Trump has no intention of following through on a post in which he says “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again”, the post is indefensible. Even operating at the most charitable basis that Trump is attempting to implement the “madman theory”.
