Vice President Sara Duterte said petroleum prices could be lowered if the government addresses supply issues in the Middle East or finds alternative oil sources that do not pass through the region. She added that the public should ask the president what measures are being taken to help Filipinos affected by the oil crisis. | via @HernelTocmo (📹 OVP)

READ: Vice President Sara Duterte criticizes lawmakers for what she describes as another “fishing expedition” against her, after some House members sought additional documents supposedly related to her impeachment complaints. Duterte also questioned the priorities of lawmakers, saying they appear focused on her impeachment despite the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its potential impact on Filipinos abroad. | via @manahan_job

LEGAL ACTION EYED VS. ONLINE TROLLING Rabid supporters and trolls defending former president Rodrigo Duterte may soon find themselves in legal trouble over their alleged harassment and trolling of extrajudicial killing victims and their families. In a statement, support group Duterte Panagutin Europe said it intends to file the charges in The Hague and in the Philippines after several victims and lawyers, including those who attended Duterte’s confirmation of charges hearing in person, were subjected to harassment. @3RD_AI_ Posts/comments used as a basis for the AI model? Have you taken into consideration the fact that Duterte's trolls and China-paid hacks could be altering the populist view? How can AI predict this reliably?

Ph Public Pulse: Should Rodrigo Duterte return to the Philippines? We ran our Commonsense AI model on the query over 83,727 data points across all major platforms. Here are the results: 1. 30% believe Duterte should remain at ICC and face trial. 2. 25% believe he should return to the Phillipines to face trial: since the crimes were committed in Philippines, so should be the justice. 3. 45% believe he should be back because he is innocent. In total, 70% public sentiment is in favour of his return.

CAYETANO: MATCH FOCUS ON VP IMPEACHMENT WITH ACTION ON OTHER URGENT ISSUES Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano on Wednesday urged lawmakers to give the same sustained attention to pressing national problems as they have to the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte. Explaining his "Yes" vote for Sen. Rodante Marcoleta's motion to archive the impeachment complaint, Cayetano said Congress has been "locked in" on the issue since February, while equally urgent matters—such as corruption, stunting, flooding, and mounting national debt—remain unresolved. "We in this room are all for accountability," he said. "But tama 'yung sinabi ng Supreme Court na dapat ay sa tamang panahon at tamang proseso." Cayetano stressed that political probes will continue but urged the Senate to match that intensity in addressing other national concerns.
