Yes indeed we are closely linked but let’s not confuse who we are. I genuinely love my Celtic cousins but I have no desire to adopt their rich and wonderful culture and history for my own. Why? Because I have my own. That appropriation is for those who lack their own and seek meaning therein.

They are 1 eighth foreign. Presumably that foreign country has no connection and wouldn't take them. So what would happen then?

Every generation that goes by is significantly more intermingled, making repatriation impossible (probs)

You seem earnest so I’ll answer likewise. A choice has to be made. In my mind it would take at least 4 generations. But a choice would be given. To go to the home country, live in a closed religious community or community in the wider community under the supervision of natives. This sounds extreme to you I’m sure but my people are smaller that 9% of the world’s population and we are being systematically erased. It’s war.
