4th District Officers are working hard to stem the flow of illegal guns and drugs into the community. This effort was led by the 4th District Community Action Team.

MCPD 4D officers dispatched at 3:14 p.m. for the report of a shooting near the 12310 block of Georgia Avenue. The scene is secure. This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available. #MCPNews #MCPD

Out of an abundance of caution, MCPD has increased patrols and visibility around Jewish institutions throughout the county. At this time, there is no known threat. However, we remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and faith-based communities.

Glad to see the decreases in crime during the first part of 2025. There is more work to be done, but we are happy to see the trend in a positive direction.

Fortunate to lead a team of tremendous @mcpnews officers , supervisors, and professional staff at 4D that create positive impact everyday. I am thankful for the people that make 4D special, both in the department and in the communities that we serve.

Continued strong work by 4th district detectives and officers. Enforcement against possession of illegal guns and those who engage in violent criminal acts such as this will remain a top priority for 4D. This is dangerous work but our officers are ready.
