@gotrice2024 I smashed into my friends car going 35 mph because a stoopid little spider decided to jump on my leg!

These friends decided to go on a white water rafting excursion. They hired a company to teach them how to do it and take them out. During the trip while on the rapids, one of the women noticed what she thought was some dead leaves on the inside by her feet, until it moved and she discovered it was a fishing spider. The women freak out while the instructor laughs but he does help them get rid of it, 3 times actually, it turned out there was a total of three massive spiders in the raft. Most of us freak out when we see a little raisin sized one in the car, but out in the water with a grapefruit sized one is much different, what would you have done?

The decedent in the Edina shooting has been identified by family as John William Westly Stroud, 22. Stroud was arrested by Metro Transit PD earlier this month and charged with 5th degree assault. Upon his release from jail, he posted the following video on his FB page.

My 12 yr old son went to a bday party the other day for one of his friends in the neighborhood. The party was at Top Golf. About 25 kids give or take. They rented out 4 bays. Tons of food. Everyone had a great time. The previous week he went to a kids party at Dave and Busters. Same deal about 20 kids or so. Maybe I’m a bit old school (and cheap lol) but we never threw a big group friend’s party like that for the kids. We always told them they can invite 3-4 of their friends and we’ll take them out somewhere or we would have the entire family come over for cake and ice cream. Now you got parents out doing one another on these elaborate and expensive bday parties. Maybe it’s just my generation (I’m 46) with everyone trying to be an overachiever, but if you ask me it’s a bit excessive and over the top.

@6vaughts I’m sorry you lost your dad. My dad passed away ten days ago so I’m new to the feeling. I did go to my phone’s voice mail messages and forwarded all of his messages to my email addresses in case I lose my device. That made me feel better.

My dad passed away six weeks ago. How long until I realize I can’t call or text him anymore? I still want to, then I reach for my phone and remember I can’t. Does that ever go away? Not asking for a friend. I’m asking for me.😢

@6vaughts Tomorrow will be 1 year since I lost my mom. That habit of wanting to call her has slowed down. But there have been many times, say good news, that my instinct says call mom and tell her all about it.
