@drivelcast Do you recall that from "Bobby's Piles" in Viz, where Mrs. Piles had stored a lobster in the khazi? I think often of the panel where the lobster first interacted with Nobby.

@icod Not one I've heard. Look, the place is just a grotty suburb if Southampton. There, I've said it.

@KavanaghCk (2/2) Point 3 settled it for me. Liars offer extra info, unsolicited. "Look at my cut". Lol. Lest this seems cruel I then similarly watched my heroes shaving their heads and leaving Bath in real time for devil's dandruff reasons.

@KavanaghCk Y'know, I watched that story evolve on the old sportsnetwork boards. (Bath fan, both Quins and Leinster used to be there too.) How it went. 1) General match chit-chat 2) Leinster fans "I saw him wink!" 3) Quins fans "He showed us the wound after the match" (1/2)

@twlldun As an adult I spend no time down the tip looking for aerosol cans too chuck on the bonfire. Adulthood sucks.

I mean I was pretty nihilist and negative as a kid, and “born cynical”, according to my parents and still, I’ll be honest yeah, being a kid was quite fun?

@Londonist @cnbcwatcher90 Uniquely* for a London mainline terminal, it dos not contain the zero mileage datum for the line within it's bounds. The mileage at the 'Bone is measured from the former Manchester London Road station. *unwise assertion, I am gonna be fact-checked to death

Today's the 125th birthday of Marylebone station. Of all London's termini, I think I've probably used it least, but it's always a pleasure to visit. Who's got a fun fact or memory about the place?

@LevParikian I bring news to those who are irked by 'train station' - x.com/TurnipRail/sta…
Dr David Turner@TurnipRail

@LNER Both have been used since the 19th c. From the 1830s some railway adverts and official docs used "train station", whilst it has always been in common parlance. Yes, throughout, "railway station" is used more often, but "train station" is frequently found (Image from 1838)

If you come across a sheep lying on its back with its legs up, it is 'cast'. Please be so kind as to tip/roll it back over; if left like this they can die as they cannot get up. Please be kind enough to share.
